Avs vs Stars Prop Bet #1: Count on MacKinnon

There might have been major ups and downs across this series, but Nathan MacKinnon’s dominance has been highlighted throughout.

MacKinnon helped push this one to Game 7 on a weird third period goal that stood to be the winner. That gives him six goals and 10 points in the series, and he’s scored a goal in all but one game vs Dallas: a 2-1 OT loss in Game 3.

In the biggest game of the season, MacKinnon should feature prominently, especially if the Avalanche have any plans of advancing into Round 2.

You can wager on his point line — the only player with a 1.5 line — that pays out at +120, or you can wager on an anytime goal at +100.

I like him to light the lamp.

  • Avalanche vs Stars prop pick: MacKinnon anytime goal (+100 at DraftKings)

Avs vs Stars Prop Bet #2: Dropping Major Hintz

After literally going missing through the first four games of the series, where he had just a single goal in Game 1, Roope Hintz has been on fire the last two games.

He scored or assisted on all of the Stars’ goals in Game 6’s 7-4 loss, picking up his third and fourth goals of this series.

Hintz now has four goals and seven points in this series, and has bolted to second on the Stars’ scoring list, just a point back of Mikkpo Rantanen.

He’s one of the hottest Stars going, and while Dallas’ strength is a super deep and talented roster, Saturday is not an equal opportunity kind of night.

Hintz has led the team in shots on goal through the last two games with five a piece, and while I think he figures into the scoring, there’s reasonable juice for him to get three shots on net against the Avs.

Avalanche vs Stars prop pick: Hintz Over 2.5 shots on goal (+115 at DraftKings)
