Monday’s slate sends the Red Wings (4-4-3) into Edmonton to face an Oilers team that’s 8-2-1. Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs (7-4-2) head to Calgary to take on a 4-6-0 Flames squad. Those two games are the focus of my Monday NHL player props.
Edmonton’s attack runs through Connor McDavid (33 points in 11 games) and Leon Draisaitl (23). Evan Bouchard has chipped in 21 from the blueline. Toronto brings its own firepower, with Auston Matthews (19 points), William Nylander (18), and Kirill Marchenko (14) leading an offense that scores 3.85 goals per game.
I’ve got two shot totals and one goal pick on this card. You can compare every market on our NHL Player Props page, and my picks are below.
Monday NHL Player Props
All three of my Monday NHL player props are priced at theScore Bet. Draisaitl’s shot total at -105 is close to a coin flip at a 51.2% implied chance, while Seider’s -190 translates to about a 65.5% probability. Nylander’s +165 to score implies roughly a 37.7% shot.

Best NHL Player Prop Bets
Leon Draisaitl Over 3.5 Shots on Goal
- Leon Draisaitl Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+115 at theScoreBet)
I’m starting my best NHL player prop bets with Draisaitl’s volume. He’s put 43 shots on goal through 11 games, an average of 3.91 per night. He’s turned that into 12 goals while logging 21:38 of ice time. That scoring start also makes him worth following in the Rocket Richard Odds.
Six of those goals have come on the power play, and that’s where this matchup tilts his way. Edmonton’s power play is converting at 35.1%, while Detroit kills just 65.8% of its penalties. The Red Wings allow only 25.5 shots per game, but Draisaitl’s shot rate and role on that power play are why I like him to reach four shots.
Moritz Seider Over 1.5 Shots on Goal
- Moritz Seider Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (-200 at Bet365)
I’m sticking with Red Wings vs Oilers for my second shots pick. Seider leads Detroit at 25:41 of ice time per game. He’s put 20 shots on goal through 11 games, good for 1.82 per night.
He’s still looking for his first goal this season, with all five of his points coming on assists, but the shot volume keeps showing up. Edmonton gives up 27.0 shots per game. With Seider on the ice for more than 25 minutes a night, he’ll get plenty of looks to reach two shots.
NHL Anytime Goalscorer Picks
William Nylander Anytime Goal
- William Nylander Anytime Goal (+115 at betMGM)
Nylander has eight goals in 13 games and is coming off a two-goal night in Toronto’s 7-2 win over Edmonton on Saturday. He’s put 37 shots on goal, averaging 2.85 per game, while playing 20:03 a night.
Calgary has been a friendly matchup for shooters, allowing 30.5 shots and 3.90 goals per game. Nylander has five even-strength goals alongside his three power-play goals, giving him multiple ways to finish off my NHL anytime goalscorer picks. His +165 price is my favorite number on the card.
