Sunday at the Tokyo Summer Olympics is a busy one. There will be medals earned in 10 different sports – swimming, diving, skateboarding, archery, cycling, fencing, judo, shooting, taekwondo and weightlighting.
The women cyclists will take on the road course. A small but elite 67-rider peloton will contest the road race over a 137km course. Defending champion Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands is the +200 favorite.
This Olympic course sets up well for van Breggen to win another gold. The double world champion excels at mid-race climbs and fast-paced charges to the finish. Then again, she’s comfortable racing any style.
