Two giant clubs with big problems meet in England’s Premier League on Tuesday. Chelsea is once again looking for a new coach after Graham Potter was fired on Sunday. This follows a humbling 2-0 home defeat by Aston Villa last Saturday. Still, they are listed as favorites in the Chelsea vs Liverpool odds.

Potter had been in charge for just seven months and leaves the team languishing in an unfamiliar 11th place in the table.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has to recover after a 4-1 humiliation away against title contenders and EPL odds favorite Manchester City last weekend.

That came following a 1-0 defeat at struggling Bournemouth the previous weekend.

It means the team is in eighth place with its hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League in serious jeopardy. Will they pull off a road upset in our Chelsea vs Liverpool prediction?

Draw +250

Amid the turmoil, with coach Bruno Saltor temporarily in charge of the side, Chelsea is the surprise favorite for a home win at +155 with DraftKings. Meanwhile, Liverpool is priced at +180. The draw is rated at an attractive +250 – with kick-off at Stamford Bridge in London at 3:00 pm ET.

Over/Under & Spread for Chelsea vs Liverpool

Chelsea’s forwards looked significantly out-of-form against Aston Villa.

However, the team had scored five times in its prior two EPL games – a 3-1 defeat of Leicester City followed by a 2-2 draw with Everton.

Liverpool put seven past Manchester United on March 5 but has scored only once in the following two EPL games.

The total goals odds include an unattractive price of -125 for there to be at least three goals (Over 2.5).

The offer for at least four goals is more attractive at +195 (Over 3.5).

At the low-scoring end of the scale, its +300 for there to be only one goal (Under 1.5).

Among the spread offers Chelsea is rated at +390 to win by two or more (Spread -1.5).

Furthermore, Liverpool is priced at +450 to win by two or more (Spread -1.5).

Chelsea vs Liverpool Preview

After the axing of Graham Potter, Chelsea is looking for its third manager of the campaign.

German Thomas Tuchel was fired to make way for Potter last September.

It failed to work out. Chelsea won just seven of its 22 games under Potter’s command.

Although the team is set for a Champions League last-eight meeting with Real Madrid, it is unlikely to progress.

So temporary coach Saltor will be charged with sparking an up-turn in form – beginning against Liverpool – which might rekindle its faint hopes of qualification for Europe next season.

Chelsea may be able to call upon talismanic midfielder N’golo Kante who made his first appearance since August as a substitute against Aston Villa – although he would be likely to start on the bench.

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted his side was deservedly hammered by Manchester City last weekend.

The two recent defeats brought to an end a five-match unbeaten run in the EPL.

Klopp says he expects a positive response from his side after their recent dip in form.

But he also expects Chelsea’s players to respond strongly after the sacking of boss Potter, too.

So there is much at stake for both these teams in this intriguing encounter.

Mohamed Salah to Score Odds

Although DraftKings lists Liverpool’s Colombian striker Luis Diaz at +220 to score among the Chelsea vs Liverpool picks, boss Klopp has confirmed that he is not yet ready to return after being out injured since last October.

That leaves Mohamaed Salah as the +200 favorite to hit the net – or+600 to score first or last.

Egyptian Salah scored in the 4-1 defeat by Manchester City to take his tally for the season in the EPL to 12. He has hit four goals in his most recent four EPL appearances.

On-loan Portuguese forward Joao Felix is is rated at +200 to score for Chelsea – with Kai Havertz at +250 in the Chelsea vs Liverpool odds.

Both men were on target in the recent 2-2 draw with Everton – with Havertz scoring from a penalty.

Chelsea vs Liverpool History

The last three meetings between these sides have ended in draws.
