  • With five to seven matches remaining for most teams in the Premier League, the tumultuous 2020/21 season is rounding its final corner as Manchester City have one hand on their title
  • The title might be decided, however, the top four race is as close as ever with four teams within two points of one another for the final Champions League spot
  • See the odds and our predictions for this weekend’s Premier League matchups below

This week, Premier League fans around the world have experienced a roller coaster ride of emotions. As six clubs tried to uplift the foundations of the English football pyramid, the rest of the league and their fans sat still. With the proposed European Super League done and dusted, we can now focus on what is most important, Premier League Matchday 33.

Now that sporting merit is once again a factor for teams to qualify for Europe’s top competition, the top four race is crucial. Currently, Manchester City and Manchester United both look to be safe atop the table. However, Leicester City, Chelsea, West Ham, Tottenham and Liverpool are all just within three points of one another with various games in hand.

Elsewhere, at the bottom of the table sit Fulham in 18th place, just six points away from safety. A win for Burnley away from home against Wolves could surely put the nail in the coffin for Scott Parker and his players.

Arsenal vs Everton Prediction

The first game of the Premier League weekend takes place Friday between Arsenal and Everton at the Emirates Stadium in North London. For the Toffees, their last win in the Premier League came five matches ago against 19th place West Brom. Carlo Ancelloti’s team has pulled together three consecutive draws, including an impressive showing against Tottenham, only to be ruined by a Harry Kane goal.

Nonetheless, Everton still might be the favorites ahead of their game against Arsenal. The Gunners have been dreadful this season sitting all the way back in ninth place. Furthermore, they will be without the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, David Luiz, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard. On top of all of this, this is a head-to-head fixture Arsenal have only managed to win one time out of their last four. For those reasons, I favor a stalemate in this classic Premier League matchup.

My Pick: Draw moneyline (+250)

Liverpool vs Newcastle Prediction

Next, Liverpool and Newcastle square off at Anfield at what is an imperative game for the Reds’ Champions League dreams. Jurgen Klopp and company sit just two points outside the top four with six games remaining, making this one against 15th place Newcastle a must-win.

Nonetheless, everybody is aware of Liverpool’s struggles this season. But, in the Premier League, they have won three out of their last four matches, with the only bad result coming against Leeds. It took a late goal to draw level with Liverpool at Elland Road and the game was just hours after the dramatic announcement and distraction of a Super League. Liverpool will surely bounce back in a big way against Newcastle.

My Pick: Liverpool -1.5 (-136)

Leeds United vs Manchester United

Lastly, second-place Manchester United travels to Yorkshire to take on Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United. Frankly, both of these teams are in positions where a loss does not hurt them too much at this point in the season. As a result, I think this game has the potential to be wide-open with a pile of goals.

Leeds have 100 goal involvements this year, either for or against them, making the ‘Over’ on total goals a solid prediction for nearly any amount. As they face a Manchester United attack with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes, they could really be taken advantage of with their attacking style of play.

My Pick: Over 3.5 total goals (+148)
