Ever wonder what Oscar is up to in the Chinese Super League?

Well, apparently he’s been starting brawls and getting himself suspended. The former Chelsea midfielder lashed out during a game against Guangzhou R&F and intentionally booted the ball at a few opposition players.

The R&F players rushed Oscar and pushed him to the ground, and the situation after that devolved into pandemonium. For instigating the brawl, the Chinese Football Association issued Oscar an eight-match ban and a 40,000 RMB fine (£4,623.50 — pocket change for the multi-millionaire).

There is no shortage of hotheads in this sport, so it’s only a matter of time until another brawl breaks out. Who will start the next on-field brawl? Here are a few favorites. And while you can’t bet on this prop, specifically, at our top-rated sportsbooks, you’ll see from there are a wide range of other props and futures to bet on.

Odds on next soccer player to incite a brawl on the field

Jordi Alba (Barcelona): 7/1

Let’s start with El Clasico, the greatest rivalry in the sport. There’s a lot of bad blood between Barcelona and Real Madrid, and their games oftentimes reach a boil. At the moment, Jordi Alba is the main culprit at Barca. He’s a nasty tackler and habitual diver — an infuriating combination.

He has a way of getting under his opponent’s skin, which could easily lead to an all-out brawl in the future if the atmosphere is tense enough.

Diego Costa (Chelsea): 8/1

Diego Costa is undoubtedly the most hated player in the Premier League at the moment. His antics on the field have infuriated fans and players alike. However, under Antonio Conte, he’s seemed to mellow out. Now that Costa is likely returning home to Atletico Madrid, we could see him reverting back to his former self.

Joey Barton (Burnley): 8/1

You’d be hard-pressed to find a slimier player than Joey Barton, both on and off the field. He’s been charged three times by the Football Association, including an assault charge against his own teammate.

He’s one of the dirtiest tacklers in the sport, and when he gets back from his 18-month ban (for gambling on matches), he’ll get right back to tearing his opponents apart. It’s only a matter of time until the players decide that enough is enough.

Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United): 9/1

When it comes to his footwork, Marouane Fellaini doesn’t have much to showcase. But when it comes to his elbows, Fellaini puts the UFC to shame. The 6′4″ Belgian has scored countless knockdowns with his trademark elbow strikes to the head, neck, and face.

Things could get a little interesting if another player decides to return the favor.

Luis Suarez (Barcelona): 19/1

At Ajax and Liverpool, Luis Suarez was one of the wildest players we’ve ever seen. Biting one player is strange enough; biting three is beyond ridiculous.

But that’s the old Suarez. Since transferring to Barcelona, the fiery Uruguayan is far more disciplined and subdued. I don’t know what they did to tame the man, but it looks like the new Suarez is here to stay.
