[1] Novak Djokovic vs [7] Holger Rune Prediction

This is going to be an exciting match to start the day tomorrow. Djokovic and Rune’s head-to-head sits at one win a piece, as Rune beat Djokovic in the final of the Rolex Paris Masters last year. Arguably his biggest win of his career, he’ll now look to go up on his head-to-head record against Djokovic, not something many players can say.

Rune’s win against Djokovic was on an indoor hard court, and this match will be on an outdoor clay court, which is very different, but Rune should be able to come in with some confidence that not many do.

Djokovic has had a pretty strong showing in Rome this week. The Serb has only dropped one set through three matches, and is coming off a quick win over Cameron Norrie. Rune has also had a good showing this week, having only dropped one set as well. It was in his most recent match against Alexei Popyrin, where he ended up winning 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

The two actually have a similar style of play, as Djokovic has acknowledged. Look for the match to go three here for the best bet.

Best Bet: Over. 2.5 sets (+130)

[4] Casper Ruud vs [24] Francisco Cerundolo Prediction

Cerundolo heads into this match with a 2-1 head-to-head lead over Ruud, with both of his wins coming on an outdoor clay court. Ruud’s one win came on an outdoor hard court. This might give him the slight edge to win this match as well.

Ruud has played strong tennis this week, including a masterclass like performance in his round of 16 match against Laslo Djere to win 6-1, 6-3, and book a spot in the quarterfinals.

Cerundolo has struggled a bit this week. All three of his matches have gone three sets, and he’s found himself down, having to build a comeback. In all three matches this tournament, he’s lost the first set.

There might be a bit of fatigue that could come into play for Cerundolo, something that Ruud could take advantage of.

Despite not having beat Cerundolo during one of their clay matches, Ruud does have a very strong record on the surface, 108-40, with nine titles. But because of this, as well as their history, look for this match to also go the distance.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 sets (+120)

Yannick Hanfmann vs [3] Daniil Medvedev Prediction

This will be the first meeting between Hanfmann and Medvedev. It’s evident that Medvedev is the stronger player between the two. Every stat of his is quite a bit stronger than Hanfmann.

Hanfmann has played a few more matches than Medvedev in the tournament, having had to compete in the qualifiers. But he’s manged to only drop two sets on his way to the quarterfinal.

Medvedev has had a strong presence in the tournament. He had a slight hiccup in the round of 32, where he dropped the first set, but managed to find a way to win. This was the only set he dropped.

This one should be a relatively easy win for Medvedev.

Best Bet: Medvedev 2-0 (-145)
