The WTA Cincinnati semifinals go down today, with the second match taking place at 7:30 PM ET on P&G Stadium Court. Coco Gauff meets Sara Bejlek after both players reached this stage with four match wins in the event. Gauff has beaten Samsonova, Li, Bouzkova and Kostyuk, while Bejlek has defeated Pliskova, Krejcikova, Alexandrova and Keys. Bejlek’s 2-0 victory over Aryna Sabalenka is the result that gives this matchup genuine upset intrigue.
The biggest matchup question is whether Bejlek can turn her excellent return numbers into enough scoreboard pressure against Gauff’s first serve. Gauff wins 67.1% of first-serve points and 68.3% of service games, compared with Bejlek’s 60.1% and 64.0%. Bejlek does hold small advantages in second-serve points won (47.7% to 42.6%), return games won (47.1% to 44.0%) and break points converted (49.4% to 46.9%), so Gauff cannot expect free points on every service game.

Gauff vs Bejlek Predictions and Picks
Gauff -5.5 games is my primary play because the quality gap is substantial even though Bejlek’s Cincinnati run has been impressive.
Coco Gauff -5.5 Games (+100 at bet365)
The Elo ratings updated August 10 list Gauff at 2,088.1 overall and 2,045.5 on hard courts, versus 1,782.4 and 1,759.6 for Bejlek. That is a 305.9-point overall gap and a 285.9-point hard-court gap, a strong objective argument for the favorite.
The performance profile points in the same direction. Gauff’s 1.356 dominance ratio, 1.350 breakpoints-prevail ratio and 2.169 match-efficiency score all exceed Bejlek’s 1.143, 1.282 and 1.750. Gauff also wins a much higher share of first-serve points, while her 44.0% return-games-won mark indicates consistent pressure. At even money, -5.5 games is playable if Gauff converts that pressure into an early break in each set.
Under 19.5 Total Games (+117 at Kalshi)
The Under is a higher-variance add-on rather than the top wager. A straight-sets Gauff win such as 6-3, 6-4 would cash, and Gauff has the serve efficiency to keep Bejlek from building long stretches of scoreboard control. However, Bejlek has already won several three-set matches in Cincinnati and owns the better return-games-won and break-point-conversion figures in the data.
That makes a competitive 6-4, 6-4 or three-set match very plausible. The Under stake should therefore be smaller than the spread stake; the +117 price compensates for the risk, but it is not as sturdy as backing Gauff to win by margin. I’m using Kalshi to make this wager over traditional sportsbooks, as the prediction market is offering the better payout. Claim the Kalshi promo code now to get in on the action.
Bejlek and Gauff have never crossed paths on the professional tour, leaving us with a blank slate. With zero historical meetings to review, this specific metric provides limited predictive value for the upcoming semifinal. We cannot rely on past surface trends or head-to-head baseline dynamics to uncover betting angles. Therefore, my entire handicap leans heavily on their respective season-long statistics and the undeniable talent gap. The stark difference in overall tour dominance and current-year efficiency paints a clear enough picture to confidently invest in the favorite dictating the terms of this matchup.
