Shelby Rogers vs Amanda Anisimova Prediction

This is not the first time these two have set up an all-American clash at  a tournament. This will be the third meeting between Rogers and Anisimova, with Rogers holding a 2-0 head-to-head edge.

Their first meeting came just in 2021, where Rogers saw herself down a set, and managed to come back to win. And their most recent match happened earlier this year in the first round in Miami, where once again Anisimova was able to win the first set, but Rogers found a way to come back and win.

Both player have two matches under their belt as they head into the quarters. Rogers has had tougher opponents in Andreescu, and No. 1 seed Maria Sakkari. The American has yet to lose a set in the tournament. Anisimova hasn’t been challenged to the same degree, having defeated Ashlyn Krueger and Karolina Pliskova. She managed a comeback win against Pliskova after dropping the first set.

Anisimova is the higher ranked player between the two, but Rogers has the edge coming into this match. Not only has she beat the younger American a couple of times, she has had an impressive week, spent less time on the count, and has managed to be more consistent.

 Best Bet: Shelby Rogers (+150)

[6] Coco Gauff vs [2] Paula Badosa prediction

This might be the most exciting match of the day, as Gauff and Badosa go head-to-head for the third time, with their current head-to-head split at 1-1. Badosa won their first meeting in 2021, whereas Gauff won their most recent encounter earlier this year.

Gauff will be coming into this match, coming off a win over Osaka. The 18-year old defeated the former No. 1 in straight sets. She also defeated Anhelina Kalinina in straight sets in the first round. Badosa, who is the second set, had a bye in the first round, resulting in just having one match under her belt prior to the quarterfinals. She defeated American Elizabeth Mandilk 6-2, 5-7, 7(7)-6(5).

Badosa comes into the match with the better record on hardcourts, but Gauff has won 13 of 16 matches since the start of the French Open. Both of these players are aggressive players, who don’t waste anytime against their opponents. From their powerful groundstrokes to strong serves, these two will match each other, resulting in an exciting match.

Seeing that this could go either way, look for the best bet to come in the form of sets. This could go the distance.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 sets (+135)

[7] Daria Kasatkina vs [4] Aryna Sabalenka Prediction

These set of opponents are also very familiar with each other, as this will be the fifth meeting between Kasatkina and Sabalenka. Sabalenka leads the head-to-head 3-1. Kasatkina won their first meeting in 2019, but it’s been Sabalenka has won their three most recent in 2020, and two in 2021.

Kasatkina dropped the first set of her first match, but has been lights out since. She defeated Elena Rybakina in three sets, and went on to defeated Taylor Townsend 6-4, 6-0, to earn a spot in the quarters.

This will be another match that either player has the skills to win. Both players are aggressive, and skilled with their shot selection. This match could really go either way.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 set (+105)
