  • WNBA season well underway
  • Seattle Storm on a winning streak
  • Who’s the best bet to win the championship?

The Seattle Storm are on a winning streak and their WNBA Championship odds continue to shrink every day. Yet, their four-game winning streak has only put them second in the Western Conference and fourth in the league. They are currently 12-8 overall, and have played really well as of late.

2019 WNBA Championship Odds

Although they have played really well, so too have teams like the Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces which makes the title race interesting.

Does Seattle Have Value?

Seattle has looked good as of late, which includes the solid play of Natasha Howard, Jewell Loyd, and Jordin Canada who are all averaging over ten points a game. Those three have really helped turn around the Storm offense which struggled at the beginning of the year.

With the offense starting to click, Seattle has gone on this winning streak. They currently have a +2.5 point differential, which is worrying as top teams normally are nearing double-digits. But, they continue to shoot the ball well, 41.6 percent from the field and 33.7 percent from three.

However, something going against them, but will test truly how good they are is their next three games where they play the Las Vegas Aces, Washington Mystics, and the Los Angeles Sparks.

Right now, there is some value at +1400 but I don’t think they win the championship.

Who’s the Best Bet?

I think the Washington Mystics are still the team to beat. They have a phenomenal roster with five players scoring over 10 points a night. They are led by Elena Delle Donne who is averaging a ridiculous  17.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists to help lead Washington.

The Mystics are also outscoring their opponents 9.1, and shooting a very impressive 45-percent from the field and 34-percent from three. Although they are in second in the East, they still are the best team with the best core of players, and that will show come playoff time.

Although I think the Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces could give them problems, I expect Washington to just be better and play an all-around game come playoff time where it really counts.

Pick: Washington Mystics (+175)
