Updated WWE Odds: Survivor Series Pits Raw Against SmackDown

UPDATED: November 16, 2016. (Changes will be reflected in bold and brackets)

At the end of the summer, the WWE officially split. Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley took over WWE RAW (Mondays), and Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan took over WWE SmackDown (Tuesdays).

The events run on separate nights and the two brands, for the most part, are functioning independently of each other. But then SmackDown offered Raw a challenge — a sort of Battle of the Brands.

Raw accepted, and the result will be the 2016 Survivor Series, taking place on November 20, 2016 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

The event will feature five matches: two 5-on-5 elimination matches (one men’s and one women’s); a 10-on-10 tag-team match; a WWE Intercontinental Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and Sami Zayn; and a match between two of the biggest names in WWE history — Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.

Though the lineup is almost definitely going to change between now and November 20, here is what has been announced.

The most interesting storyline so far has to be the Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens bromance. Up until recently, the two had been best buds. But earlier this week, Kevin Owens unknowingly pinned Jericho to win this week’s RAW Fatal 5-Way match.

How this plays out remains to be seen. If a feud begins before November 20, then the Men’s 5-on-5 could be completely derailed for Team RAW.

The Intercontinental Championship bout was set up when Sami Zayn beat Rusev on RAW, earning the chance to challenge Dolph Ziggler for the belt. It’s a classic match-up between a great RAW wrestler and the SmackDown champ. UPDATE: Dolph Ziggler lost his belt on SmackDown LIVE (Nov.15) to The Miz.

But the match to watch is between Lesnar and Goldberg. The two faced off in Wrestlemania XX back in 2004, when Goldberg defeated Lesnar with a Jackhammer. Goldberg is returning for what he says will be his last fight in the WWE.

There will probably be some changes between now and Nov. 20, and we’ll keep you updated along the way, but for now here are the odds!
