BetMGM Rewards: How to Earn and Redeem Reward Points Through MGM Loyalty Program

When looking for the best sports betting app, customers don’t always have rewards programs at the top of their checklists. But BetMGM Rewards should change that.

Whether you’re a new sports bettor that’s looking to dip your toe into the water, or a seasoned bettor who wants to spend big and cash in on trips to Las Vegas with VIP treatment treatment across the country, the BetMGM Rewards program—and its connection to the MGM Rewards program—is a big part of what makes the King of Sportsbooks so great.

As you wager at BetMGM Sportsbook, you will be earning BetMGM Rewards Points, which can be turned into bonus bets, hotel and resort stays, merchandise, and much more. Heck, bet enough and you could even earn some air travel credits. Or, you could just settle for the birthday bonuses.

Either way, we have you covered on how to navigate one of the best online gambling loyalty programs in the US.

How to Sign Up for the BetMGM Rewards Program

You will be automatically enrolled in BetMGM Rewards when you register your new account at BetMGM Sportsbook or BetMGM Casino. You can do so while also claiming our BetMGM bonus code.

Viewing your rewards account can be done through your sportsbook or casino app, meaning that you can manage all of it in the same place you make your bets.

But, if you’d like to go deeper, you can download the MGM Rewards app, which connects to your BetMGM account and will track all your rewards points, tier credits, and help connect you with ways to use them.

How to Earn BetMGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits

The easiest and most common way to earn BetMGM Rewards Points and BetMGM Tier Credits is to place bets at the sportsbook or play online casino games.

As one would expect, the more you bet the more points you earn and the more rewards you can unlock. The type of bet you’re making also matters. A straight bet will earn you fewer reward points than a parlay, while regular slots and instant-win games are worth more than progressive jackpot slots and live table games, such as baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, and live casino slots.

Online poker players who can access BetMGM Poker can also earn points by paying poker tournament fees or cash game rakes.

Here’s a basic breakdown of how that works:

Bet Type BetMGM Rewards Points Earned
BetMGM Sportsbook $100 Straight Bet At least 20 BetMGM Rewards Points (or more with longer odds) / 20 Tier Credits
BetMGM Sportsbook $100 Parlay At least 50 BetMGM Rewards Points (or more with longer odds) / 50 Tier Credits
BetMGM Casino $100 in regular slots & instant win games Up to 20 BetMGM Rewards Points / 20 Tier Credits
BetMGM Casino $100 in progressive jackpot slots Up to 10 BetMGM Rewards Points / 10 Tier Credits
BetMGM Casino $100 in live table games, baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette and live casino slot games up to 4 BetMGM Rewards Points / 4 Tier Credits
BetMGM Poker Pay $100 in cash game rake Up to 500 BetMGM Rewards Points / 500 Tier Credits
BetMGM Poker Pay $100 in tournament fees Up to 500 BetMGM Rewards Points / 500 Tier Credits

How Can I Redeem My BetMGM Rewards?

BetMGM Rewards points can be used for in-app rewards such as bonus bets, odds boosts, or online casino bonuses in states where that is available.

But that’s just the beginning.

You can redeem your BetMGM Reward Points for Marriott Bonvoy hotel stays—after linking your Marriott Bonvoy account—MGM Rewards points and dollars, which can be used on entertainment, dining, resort fees, and other property spend at MGM Resorts across the country. There’s also the option to purchase BetMGM merchandise from reputable brands such as Nike and North Face.

Visit the My Rewards section of your app and navigate into the BetMGM Rewards Store to view your options and redeem your BetMGM Rewards Points.

BetMGM Rewards Points vs. MGM Rewards vs. Tier Credits

Your BetMGM Rewards, MGM Rewards, and MGM Tier Credits are all related—even if they’re all different.

The simplest way to understand it as an online sports bettor is this:

  • BetMGM Rewards Points are earned through play on the BetMGM app and can be redeemed via the app.
  • MGM Rewards Points can be earned at retail casinos and sportsbooks, but are also for use at MGM resorts properties. You can convert your BetMGM Rewards Points into MGM Rewards very easily through the BetMGM app.
  • BetMGM Tier Credits or MGM Tier Credits are earned either in person or on the app. As you reach different tiers, you are eligible for different perks both in the app and at MGM properties. Tier credits cannot be redeemed, as they simply elevate you to higher tiers. They also reset at the beginning of each calendar year.

MGM Rewards Tiers Breakdown

Let’s get to those MGM Rewards Tiers. When you first start your BetMGM account, you will be put on the Sapphire tier level. From there, you can build up to Pearl tier, Gold tier, Platinum tier, and NOIR tier. The NOIR tier is by invitation only.

As you move up in MGM Rewards tier status, you will receive more perks, both in app and in person. Here’s an overview of how what is available to you based on your tier (each level receives all the benefits in the lower tiers plus what is listed here):

BetMGM Rewards FAQs

How do you link BetMGM to MGM Rewards?

Creating your account at BetMGM will automatically enroll you in the BetMGM Rewards and MGM Rewards programs, which are automatically linked.

Does BetMGM give birthday bonuses?

Yes, BetMGM will give you a bonus bet on your birthday, as well as a bonus on the anniversary of starting your account. The size of your birthday bonus will depend on your tier level.

How many BetMGM Rewards points are earned per dollar?

It depends on what you’re betting on, and the odds involved. If you’re making a straight bet, it’s a 1 point (minimum) for every $5. If it’s a parlay, you’re earning $1 minimum for every $2 bet.

Do BetMGM Rewards points expire?

As a Sapphire member, your points will expire after six months of inactivity. For MGM Rewards members in Pearl, Gold, Platinum or NOIR tiers, however, the points never expire as long as you maintain your status. Tier credits reset to zero on Jan. 1 of each year.

What are Borgata Rewards?

Borgata Online Rewards are available for bettors in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and work essentially as BetMGM Rewards points as they can be redeemed as digital bonuses at BetMGM or can be transferred into MGM Rewards points.

Can you still use MLife credits?

MLife is the former name of MGM’s rewards program. If you had MLife credits, they were converted years ago to MGM or BetMGM rewards points. Any tier credits would have expired, however, as they reset at the beginning of each year.
