Eastern Conference

Western Conference

Out west, the wild card for the Phoenix Mercury will be the status of Brittney Griner. Currently detained in Russia, if her release is granted and she returns this season they will be absolutely loaded with fellow All-Star C Tina Charles now in the valley of the desert and the backcourt trio of Diana Taurasi, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Kia Nurse.

The Chicago Sky won their first ever WNBA Championship to end the 2021 season, as Candace Parker made good on her promise to deliver a championship to her hometown after leaving the LA Sparks last offseason and signing in the Windy City.
