- The RSM Classic from Sea Island, Georgia tees off Thursday, November 21st
- Lack of big name star power results in a totally wide open event
- See the golfers with the best value to emerge victorious
The final official PGA Tour event in 2019 wraps up at the RSM Classic making this event the last chance for golfers to gain entry into the 2020 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Last year saw a thrilling playoff duel as Charles Howell III wound up winning his first tour event since 2007 in a playoff against Patrick Rodgers.
With the field annually not dominated by world class players it gives players trying to prove their mettle the chance to break through, with four of the past five champions making this event their maiden PGA Tour victory.

Harris English Due to Win Third PGA Tour Event
Harris English burst onto the scene in 2013 by winning two PGA Tour events at the FedEx St. Jude Classic and Mayakoba Classic and it appeared like he would just keep adding to his trophy case in spades. That hasn’t happened, however, as the 30-year-old has remained winless since then.

His recent play has shown that English is getting back to his former status with four top-six finishes in his last five events. He was the 36-hole leader at the Mayakoba Classic and was in contention deep into the final round until an untimely double-bogey on 16. It seems only a matter of time that he gets back in the winners circle and at a lesser event against an inferior field, you can do a lot worse than the +2800 odds he’s posted at.
Harris English’s Last Five Tournaments
Tournament | Result |
---|---|
Mayakoba Golf Classic | 5th |
Houston Open | T-4th |
Safeway Open | T-33rd |
Sanderson Farms Championship | T-6th |
Greenbrier Classic | T-3rd |
Past Five RSM Classic Winners
Year | Winner |
---|---|
2018 | Charles Howell III |
2017 | Austin Cook |
2016 | Mackenzie Hughes |
2015 | Kevin Kisner |
2014 | Robert Streb |
*Four of last five champions made this event their first PGA Tour win (Charles Howell III the exception)
2019 RSM Classic Best Value Picks
- Brendon Todd (+4000): We hope you took our advice to bet on Todd at 100-1 odds at the Mayakoba Classic because he won his second straight event. Still decent odds to keep the good times rolling at 40-1.
- Vaughn Taylor (+5000): Missed out on a potential Mayakoba Classic playoff by a single stroke after leaving a birdie putt on 18 excruciatingly short. T-8th at this event in 2017.
- Austin Cook (+8000): He won this event in 2017 and followed that up with a respectable T-11th in 2018. Hasn’t been playing lights out golf of late, thus the long odds but he’s a horse that likes this course.
- Patrick Rodgers (+12500): Much like last year enters this event playing some inconsistent golf. Last year, he dominated the weekend (shooting 61 and 62), nearly nabbing his first title before losing in a playoff to Charles Howell III. Far too good of a golfer to have never won on tour.
