Corbin Burnes hasn’t been in the Milwaukee Brewers’ rotation for the full season — but now that he’s there, he has put himself in solid position to compete for some serious hardware.
Burnes’ dominance on the mound this season makes him a top contender for the National League Cy Young award, and he can help bolster his case on Saturday, Sept. 19th, as Milwaukee faces the Kansas City Royals.

Odds as of Sept. 18th.
Pick 1: Brewers Moneyline (-210) vs Royals
Reasoning: It’s best to bet on Corbin Burnes.
He might not end up with enough innings to win over voters, but Brewers starter Corbin Burnes is doing just about everything he can to compete for the NL Cy Young award. And bettors should take note when he’s on the mound.
That's three straight wins for Corbin Burnes.

Burnes (3-0, 1.98 ERA) leads the NL in FIP, hits per 9, and strikeouts per 9. The light-hitting Royals (22nd in team OPS) haven’t seen him yet — and they surely won’t like what they see.
Pick 2: Cubs Moneyline (+123) vs Twins
Reasoning: Mills, Cubs are on a roll lately.
Cubs starter Alec Mills was unhittable in his last start. That is not hyperbole.
Mills tossed the second no-hitter of the MLB season on Sunday in a 12-0 win over the Brewers. He has now won back-to-back starts, allowing four hits and no runs in 15 innings.

Chicago and Minnesota haven’t faced each other since 2018 (until Thursday night), but the Cubs had won the past five meetings heading into this series, for what it’s worth. The Cubs have also won their past four games this season.
A two-team parlay on the Brewers and Cubs at -210 and +123, respectively, would pay out at +229.
