Lightning vs Panthers Thursday NHL Odds and Betting Trends

The Tampa Bay Lightning are listed as road underdogs in the Tuesday NHL odds for the latest chapter of the “Battle of Florida”. The Bolts are one of the hottest teams in the NHL, posting a 9-1-0 record in their past 10 games. Superstar Brayden Point returned from injury Tuesday vs Montreal.

The Panthers are favored over the Lightning despite managing just one win in their past four games. One reason for these betting odds is because Florida is healthier than Tampa Bay. The Lightning have a plethora of players in the NHL COVID protocol, including goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Lightning vs Panthers Recent Results

Date Home-Away Moneyline Puck Line Over/Under
11/13/21 TBL 3 – FLA 2 OT TBL FLA Under
10/19/21 TBL 1 – FLA 4 FLA FLA Under
05/26/21 TBL 4 – FLA 0 TBL TBL Under
05/24/21 FLA 4 – TBL 1 FLA FLA Under
05/22/21 TBL 6 – FLA 2 TBL TBL Over

Tampa Bay has won five of their past six road games and are available at plus-money in this rivalry matchup for the first time in over five years. The Bolts have been finding ways to win with key absences, and there’s a chance they could get several players back for Thursday’s game.

The Panthers played Wednesday night and won’t be as rested as Tampa Bay for Thursday’s matchup. Having home-ice advantage helps, but Florida is only 10-5-0 at FLA Live Arena. Take advantage of the Lightning’s underdog value in the Thursday NHL odds.

Pick: Lightning ML (+115)

Predators vs Blue Jackets Thursday NHL Pick and Prediction

The Nashville Predators are listed as road favorites in the Thursday NHL odds against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Nashville had a seven-game winning streak snapped with a loss to Washington on Wednesday. The Blue Jackets, meanwhile, have managed just one win in their past five games.

The Preds lose betting value considering they were in action Wednesday, but they’ve actually played well in back-to-back situations. The Preds have won each of their last two games playing on zero days rest. Goalie Juuse Saros owns a .924 save percentage and should get another start Thursday.

Predators vs Blue Jackets Recent Results

Date Home-Away Moneyline Puck Line Over/Under
11/30/21 NSH 6 – CBJ 0 NSH NSH Over
05/05/21 CBJ 4 – NSH 2 CBJ CBJ Over
05/03/21 CBJ 3 – NSH 4 OT NSH CBJ Over
02/08/21 NSH 3 – CBJ 1 NSH NSH Under
02/07/21 NSH 2 – CBJ 1 NSH NSH Under

Nashville has taken five of the past six meetings with Columbus, including dominating 6-0 in the most recent meeting on November 30th. The Blue Jackets have had trouble generating offense against this elite Predators defense, managing nine total goals over the past five meetings.

The Preds are one of the best teams to wager on in the NHL odds right now, so don’t let the back-to-back scare you away from placing a bet. Not only is Columbus slumping, but they haven’t played an NHL game since Dec. 16th. Look for them to be rusty against this surging Preds squad.

Pick: Predators ML (-124)
