The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies will meet in a crucial Game 5 on Wednesday at the FedExForum, with tip-off scheduled for 9:30pm ET.
The Dubs secured a 101-98 victory in Game 4 at home, despite trailing for most of the night. This contest is a must-win for Memphis, who are on the brink of elimination with Golden State owning a 3-1 series lead.
Unfortunately, Ja Morant is unavailable again after being ruled doubtful for the remainder of the postseason.

The Warriors are a 4-point favorite here but they’re just 19-24-2 ATS on the road.
Warriors Betting Outlook
Golden State might’ve collected an important win in Game 4, but this wasn’t a great performance from the squad. Without head coach Steve Kerr due to COVID-19 protocols, the Dubs looked flat for almost the entire contest and didn’t have the lead until late in the final period.
Steph Curry’s 32 points led the way but even he wasn’t efficient, shooting just 10-for-25 from the field and 4-for-14 from deep.

In fact, as a group, the Warriors shot a putrid 24% from beyond the arc. Aside from Otto Porter’s four triples, Steph drained four himself and Wiggins had one.
Klay Thompson struggled immensely, going 0-for-7. The fourth quarter was truly the difference-maker for Golden State, outscoring the Grizzlies 39-29 as Curry came up big with several clutch shots, including eight free throws in the final 45.7 seconds.
Steph Curry has the most 30 point games this playoffs…despite coming off the bench for most of the 1st round.

The defense also locked down when it mattered most. Draymond Green came up with a game-saving block on a contested Jaren Jackson Jr three-pointer with only 12 seconds left on the clock.
Andrew Wiggins also had a couple of massive stops in crunch time. There is no question the Dubs need to shoot the ball a whole lot better, but their championship experience shined through on Monday. If they get hot from long range and bring it defensively, this series could be all over.
Grizzlies Betting Analysis
It’s officially do or die for the Grizzlies and it won’t be easy sans their All-Star guard.
Morant’s absence is a stunning blow for Taylor Jenkins’ team, but they did show some guts without him in Game 4. Like the Warriors, Memphis was cold from downtown, but several players stepped up and delivered nonetheless.

Tyus Jones poured in 19 points in place of Ja, while Jackson Jr balled out for 21. Four of their five starters finished in double-figures, but both Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks struggled.
These two are key to the Grizzlies’ success and must get it going offensively in Game 5 if they’re going to have any chance at extending the series. Bane in particular has to hit shots. He’s one of the best snipers in the Association but only took four treys on Monday.

On a more positive note, Memphis managed to outscore the Warriors 56-42 in the paint and did a nice job of getting downhill and attacking the cup. The perimeter defense will be vital in the outcome here in order to limit Golden State’s shooting.
No Morant is far from ideal, but the Grizzlies did go 20-5 without him during the regular season. This is a collective unit that is capable of winning ballgames. They must dig down deep with the season on the line.
Warriors vs Grizzlies Prediction
I really wanted to see the Grizzlies give the Dubs a serious run for their money, but to be frank, it’s hard to imagine them winning here against a Golden State team who has the chance to book their ticket to the conference finals.
Ja is a legitimate star and making up for that loss is extremely difficult. However, I do think it will be close, just like Game 4. That being said, take Memphis ATS.
Pick: Grizzlies ATS +4 (-110)
