The Baltimore Orioles (44-27, 22-14 away) and the Tampa Bay Rays (51-24, 31-7 home) will start a quick two-game series on Tuesday evening in St. Petersburg. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 PM ET.
The Rays are top dog in the AL East at the moment and five games ahead of the O’s, who are comfortably in second. This should be a very entertaining matchup, especially because there are two quality arms on the hill. Kyle Bradish gets the ball for the visitors, while Tyler Glasnow counters for Tampa.
Orioles vs Rays Odds
Team | Moneyline | Runline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Baltimore Orioles | +140 | +1.5 (-140) | Ov 8 (-110) |
Tampa Bay Rays | -165 | -1.5 (+120) | Un 8 (-110) |
The Rays are favored at -165 odds here for an implied win probability of 62.26%. The O’s come back at +140 and have a 41.67% chance of taking the series opener on the road. Baltimore won two of three against Tampa in May.

Baltimore vs Tampa Bay Probable Pitchers
Bradish is having a solid year for the Orioles, giving them quite a bit of consistency every fifth day. In 12 starts, he’s 2-3 with a 3.90 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. The righty has struck out 52 in 60 innings and walked 16.
The Peoria, Arizona native is also coming off a stellar outing against a potent Blue Jays lineup, limiting them to one earned run across seven frames. However, Bradish was torched by the Rays in 2022 in two appearances, compiling a 10.24 ERA. Yikes.
Bradish vs Glasnow Stats
2-3 | Record | 2-0 |
3.90 | ERA | 3.43 |
60 | Innings Pitched | 21 |
52 | Strikeouts | 26 |
16 | Walks | 11 |
Glasnow just came back from a long injury layoff but he’s looked like his usual dominant self. The big right-hander has a 2-0 record in four starts to go along with a 3.43 ERA. He’s racking up the strikeouts with 26 of them while issuing 11 free passes.

That being said, Glasnow is fresh off his roughest outing yet, although it wasn’t particularly awful. He gave up three earned runs to the Oakland Athletics in 5.1 innings of work but still managed to collect the victory. Glasnow tends to dominate the Orioles, owning a 2.08 ERA lifetime.
Baltimore Opening Eyes
The big leagues saw what the young O’s were capable of last season, nearly making the playoffs. This year, however, it’s clear Baltimore is out to make a point. They’re ready to compete right now. The Orioles don’t stand out in any particular area but just tend to be fundamentally sound on both sides of the ball.
The rotation is honestly over-performing right now, while the offense ranks eighth in runs scored, with Adley Rutschman and Austin Hays leading the way. Coming into the opener Tuesday, Baltimore is 7-3 in their last 10 games. But, they have their work cut out for them with Glasnow on the bump. He is filthy.
Rays Are Legit
Tampa Bay has arguably one of the best MLB lineups around and their record proves it. The Rays sit at 51-24, which stands above the rest in the Majors. Randy Arozarena, Yandy Diaz, and Wander Franco are all hitting right around .300 and have combined for 33 homers. Isaac Paredes and Josh Lowe are also raking.

While the Rays just lost two in a row to the Padres, they will be licking their chops with Bradish on the mound. They’re hitting .387 as a lineup against him, with Arozarena 3 for 5 with two bombs.

Orioles vs Rays Picks
I simply can’t look past how well the Rays swing it against Bradish. For that reason alone, I’m riding the Tampa moneyline.
Pick: Rays moneyline (-165)
