The 2018 PGA Championship was played from August 9th-12th at Bellerive Golf Course outside of St. Louis, Missouri. It was the last major of the year, and thus the last chance for players to make history and make their case for the Hall of Fame.
2018 PGA Championship Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Jordan Spieth | +550 |
Rory McIlroy | +650 |
Dustin Johnson | +650 |
Brooks Koepka | +650 |
Hideki Matsuyama | +750 |
Rickie Fowler | +1200 |
Justin Thomas | +1200 |
Rickie Fowler | +2000 |
Tiger Woods | +2500 |
The favorites aren’t really a surprise, it’s just an unimaginative list that correlates pretty closely with OWGR. Tiger Woods is a little short, but his odds aren’t as silly as they have been this year.

Brooks Koepka opened among the favorites for the first time in a while. The betting market’s lack of enthusiasm for the FSU grad was only matched by his own lack of enthusiasm for golf itself, but there’s no doubt he’s an elite player. It’s strange to see Jordan Spieth still listed this short. He put in token efforts at the Masters and the Open, but he’s struggling with his most important skills.
