The #11 North Carolina Tar Heels () pretty obviously had something to prove on Tuesday night, when they routed San Diego State in the First Four to book their ticket to the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. A large contingent of bracket experts said UNC would miss out on the tournament entirely, but now not only are the Tar Heels in the round of 64, they’re favored against #6 Ole Miss () on Friday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee (4:05 pm ET).

North Carolina opened as a 1.5-poin favorite after their demolition of SDSU and that line has held over the next 36 hours. On the morning of gameday, UNC is still laying 1.5 points but the -115 odds suggest it could go higher in the hour before tip-off. On the moneyline, North Carolina remains a -125 favorite (55.56% implied win probability) with the Rebels a +105 neutral-court underdog (48.78%).

The game total has increased a full three points from the opening line of 152.5 and now sits at 155.5 with -110 odds each way. UNC is 19-17 O/U this season, while Ole Miss is 17-16.
The movement on the total has likely been motivated by the score projections for UNC vs Ole Miss at KenPom, Torvik, and Haslam, which all have it going over the original total.

The one area where they do agree is that the 152.5 opening total was entirely total. Haslam has the lowest projected total at 154.7, while KenPom has 155 and Torvik a massive 157.
