Heading into Super Bowl XLIX, JB made some bold predictions on a few of the juicier props. Ok, the predictions weren’t all that bold. But he still made some calls and now it’s time to see how he did.

Spoiler alert: he did pretty darn well, if we do say so ourselves.

First, he took the under (60.5) on rushing yards for LeGarrette Blount. Blount ended the game with just 40 yards on the ground. Score one for John!

Then, he took the over (1.5) on touchdown passes for Russell Wilson. Wilson tossed two TDs. JB’s two for two!

Lastly, he took the Patriots (at +125) to commit more penalties. Unfortunately, this upset pick didn’t pan out, as the Seahawks were flagged seven times compared to just five for the Pats. JB was relying on PI and secondary holding being called as tightly as it was during the regular season. (It wasn’t.)

Ah well, nobody’s perfect.

But, if you followed JB’s advice, you’re probably smiling a la LaGarrette Blount (pictured) and can now afford to go buy something nice for your resident groundhog.
