The sixth week of UFL kicks off Friday evening between the Renegades and Battlehawks. Through the first five contests of the campaign, both clubs are 3-and-2, one game behind the D.C. Defenders in the XFL Division. Two weeks ago, Arlington doubled up St. Louis by a 30-15 count, with both teams securing a pick-six on defense. This is the second and final meeting of the season between these two divisional rivals.

Kickoff for this tilt is scheduled for 8:00pm ET from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. FOX provides the broadcast coverage in the United States.

Arlington Renegades Betting Trends

On the season, Arlington has won three games and lost two, but they’ve never been out of any contest. The two times they’ve lost have been by just one point and four points.

The Renegades are getting key contributions from both their quarterback and the running game. QB Luis Perez has 996 passing yards, second most in the league. His 70.9 passing percentage ranks second among pivots that qualify. Running back Kalen Ballage is pacing the league with the most rushing yards (276) and goal line RB DeVeon Smith has four trots into the end zone, tied most in the UFL.

Defensively they’ve been a very strong squad as well. Up until their last week’s 37-33 defeat to DC, they’d allowed an average of just 10.8 points per game. They’ve forced nine turnovers (2nd best), are second in sacks and tackles for loss, and have the most passes defensed.

Cornerback Ajene Harris has been clutch, picking off the most passes (3), and has the most passes defensed (11). He had the game-sealing INT for a TD against St. Louis two weeks ago.

St. Louis Battlehawks Betting Trends

For the campaign, St. Louis has also won three games and lost two, with two blowout victories to start the season, their own loss to the Defenders, followed by the 30-15 drubbing by Arlington. Last week, they inched by Michigan 32-27 to get back above .500.

St. Louis has the most points per outing (23.8). Running back Jacob Saylors is tied with DeVeon Smith for rushing TD’s (4), and has 255 yards on the ground, just behind Ballage for tops in the UFL. QB Manny Wilkins suffered an injury against Arlington two weeks ago and was subsequently placed on IR.

Max Duggan replaced him, going 8-for-17 for 78 yards and two interceptions. He was much more effective last week, with a 9-for-12 stat line for 124 yards, a passing TD, along with 70 rushing yards and two times finding paydirt with his feet.

Defensively they’re a middle of the road unit, allowing the fourth most yards per duel, and they’re third worst for most points allowed. After giving up just 15 points in the first two outings, they’ve really struggled in the following three battles, giving up at least 27 points on each occasion.

They have seven takeaways (T-4th), are third with ten sacks and have the second most passes defensed, behind only Arlington. After having a point differential of +42 the first two contests, that’s sunk to -22 the last three times competing.

Renegades vs Battlehawks Prediction

Given that the Renegades crushed the Battlehawks by 15 points just two weeks ago, it’s fairly surprising the line is -3.5 for St. Louis. As I indicated earlier, the Renegades have either won (3) or lost by just one and four points, respectively. They’re much stingier on D, and gave the DC Defenders a closer match (lost by four, compared to St. Louis losing by twelve points).

Arlington’s point differential of +36 is the best of all teams, 14 points better than DC. I’m confident that at worst, the Renegades can cover this one.

  • Renegades vs Battlehawks Pick: Renegades +3.5 (-112)
