If I could give any piece of advice to anyone, it would be to have a two-leg home run parlay going at all times. That way, we have hope hanging out in our back pockets for the entire slate. What’s even better is, the two guys who are on that late, hope ticket are the two best guys to homer on today’s board. We’re living the dream out here.

Wednesday HR Parlay Leg #1 – Ezequiel Tovar to Hit a Home Run

By the time the Colorado Rockies and Philadelphia Phillies game starts, we’ll be almost done with the day. We’ll probably forget we even have this thing going since there will be so many other bets to attend to throughout the day. That’s what makes it perfect: it’ll be like finding a scratch-off in your pocket that you forgot to scratch. There’s nothing better.

The best part is, I’d be shocked if the first guy on this thing, Ezequiel Tovar, only hits one home run tonight.

Obviously we care that Tovar is tearing the cover off the ball lately. That matters, but what I like the most about this move is the fact that Taijuan Walker is pitching for the Phillies. The haters are going to say he really hasn’t given up dongs this season, but that’s only half right. While he hasn’t been hit over the fence much, he’s been hit hard. We’re talking about a guy who gave up 24 home runs in 83 innings last season. I think he still has it, and I’m thinking Tovar takes him yard in his first at-bat tonight. Feels right.

Home Run Parlay Leg #2 – Ketel Marte to Hit a Home Run

Once Tovar goes yard, we’ll be on high alert. For that reason, we need to go with a true Circle of Trust guy. Someone we know for a fact is hitting a ball over a fence. We can’t afford to mess around with the second leg. It would be a shame to waste Tovar’s bomb.

Lucky for us, we’ve got Ketel Marte, priced to move against a pitch mix he absolutely destroys.

The haters are going to say we need to be on Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suarez. I’ll give it to the haters, those are two guys that hit bombs, but we can’t overlook Marte in this spot. Everything he sees from Dustin May is something that he hits well. I’m hoping he gets a four-seamer, but if it’s a sinker or sweeper, so be it. It’s all deadly. The best part about this is, we won’t even have to stay up too late. Marte is cashing this in the first inning. Feels right.
