Game 1 of the Pacers vs Knicks series will go down as one of the wildest endings of all-time. Now, less than 48 hours later, the two Eastern Conference foes will meet again at MSG. The series opener flew over the total, as overtime games usually do, and I’m expecting another high-scoring contest tonight for my Pacers vs Knicks same-game parlay.

Pacers vs Knicks Same-Game Parlay Pick #1: Over 224.5 Points

Playoff overtime games are incredibly taxing given the short rotations. I’m expecting tired legs tonight from the Game 1 OT thriller, and those are most likely to show up on the defensive end in Game 2. That should lead to plenty of easy buckets, especially for Indiana.

The Knicks are basically running a seven-man rotation with the entire starting five logging major minutes. The lack of depth is a problem not only in this series, but also for their NBA Championship odds prospects. The Pacers want to push the pace at all costs, which is exhausting to defend.

Of the remaining teams in the NBA playoff bracket, only the Thunder play faster than Indiana. The Pacers want to run from the moment they inbound the ball, and caught New York napping multiple times in Game 1. Indiana owns the best offensive rating of the final four squads, averaging 119.5 points per playoff game. They own the best true shooting percentage of the postseason at 61.5%, and the number one assist rate.

In their own end, the Pacers couldn’t slow down the Knicks dynamic duo of Jalen Brunson and KAT, who combined for 78 points. New York shot 51% in Game 1, and are do some 3-point luck after making just 36% of their wide open threes.

IND vs NYK SGP Pick #2: Karl-Anthony Towns 10+ Rebounds

Another reason to be optimistic about the Knicks offensive outlook, is their ability to generate second-chance points. Indiana is the worst rebounding team remaining, and are at a major size disadvantage. Myles Turner is their only reliable big, and his defensive effort was so underwhelming that he was pulled in key stretches of the series opener.

That’s music to Towns’ ears. The 29-year-old was a force on the glass in Game 1, just like he’s been all postseason. KAT pulled down 12 boards versus the Pacers on Wednesday, and has double-digit rebounds in eight of his last nine games.

Without too much resistance from the Indiana bigs, Towns profiles for another big night on the glass tonight. I’m betting 10+ boards for my Knicks vs Pacers same-game parlay, but I don’t hate a wager of 15+ rebounds on it own at +340 odds.

Pacers vs Knicks Same-Game Parlay Pick #3: Aaron Nesmith Under 5.5 Rebounds

Nesmith under 5.5 rebounds is the anchor leg of our SGP, but this is matchup dependent not a knock of his skillset. The Game 1 hero is the primary defender on Brunson, which keeps him far away from most rebound opportunities.

In fact, Nesmith saw only 9 rebound chances in Game 1, collecting two boards. He’s fallen under 5.5 boards in four straight outings against the Knicks, and I expect him to do so again tonight.
