The 125th US Open is set to tee off this Thursday, June 12th, from Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont and Plum, PA. Inevitably, world #1 Scottie Scheffler is at the top of the board. He was followed by reigning Masters champion Rory McIlroy when the odds were first released on Sunday night, but that’s shifted as of Monday morning, as bettors fade the Ulsterman after a string of bad results.

The table below lists the 2025 US Open odds, including the odds to win, as well as secure a top-five, top-ten, and top-20 finish.

Scheffler is the +275 favorite in the 2025 US Open odds, and that’s the only market where bettors can get him at plus-money. The three-time major-champion is -175 to finish in the top five and a hyper-short -800 to finish in the top 20 of this 156-golfer event.

Rory McIlroy’s US Open Odds Slipping

As mentioned, McIlroy opened as the second-favorite to Scheffler in the opening US Open odds last night, originally priced at +850. Roughly 12 hours later, his odds to win the tournament have faded to +1000, behind current second-favorite Bryson DeChambeau, whose odds have improved from +900 to +800.

McIlroy has followed up his 2025 Masters victory with a string of worsening results. He paired with Shane Lowry for a T12 at the Zurich Classic and then finished a very-respectable seventh against a solid field at the Truist Championship. But his last two starts were a T47 at the PGA Championship and a missed cut at the Canadian Open last week, his first MC since the 2024 Open Championship, a run of 13 straight tournaments.

McIlroy has certainly missed his share of cuts at the US Open during his illustrious career. From 2010 to 2018, he was cut in five of nine starts. But that’s ancient history now. He’s finished in the top ten in six straight editions of the US Open, including back-to-back second-place finishes each of the last two years. In 60 career starts in majors, he has 25 top-ten finishes.

McIlroy is currently +105 to finish in the top ten at Oakmont.

Bryson DeChambeau on the Rise in 2025 US Open Odds

As McIlroy slides, reigning-champion Bryson DeChambeau is on the rise. After middling major results to start his career – excepting a 2020 victory at the US Open – DeChambeau has upped his plat at marquee events over the last two-plus seasons.

While he (like McIlroy) was cut at the 2024 Open Championship, that’s the only one of the last six majors in which DeChambeau didn’t finish in the top ten. In addition to his victory at Pinehurst last year, he was T2 at the 2025 PGA Championship in May, T5 at the 2025 Masters, T2 at the 2024 PGA Championship, and T6 at the 2024 Masters.

DeChambeau is currently priced at +160 to finish in the top five at Oakmont and -125 to record yet another top-ten finish.
