  • We’re looking at one of the greatest MLB slates I’ve ever seen on Wednesday, July 9
  • There is no way for the books to avoid our dinger wrath on a day like today
  • See below for my +2921 home run parlay today

We’re on the verge of greatness right now, people. If you don’t believe me, just open your score app and check out the MLB slate. We’re talking 15 MLB games today and tonight. Day games, night games, hell, there’s even an evening game. All we need to do at this point is lock in and figure out who is going to hit a ball over the fence. That’s it. Obviously, that can get tricky, so as soon as I woke up this morning, I went through every single MLB game on the slate with a fine-toothed comb. I left no stone unturned, and it was worth it because I think we’re sitting on the two greatest home run bets of all time. This could easily be the greatest day of our lives. Maybe better.

Please remember if you’re going to play these two bets, play both legs straight for a 1/4 unit as well as a 1/2 unit two-leg parlay. That way, you’re only risking one unit, and you’ll profit with just one player going yard.

MLB Home Run Parlay Today (July 9)

PickOdds
Shohei Ohtani HR+250
Juan Soto HR+230
Two-Leg Parlay+1055

Altogether, both legs of today’s home run parlay generate +1055 odds at FanDuel, meaning a $100 bet would profit $1,055 if both legs hit.

Wednesday HR Parlay Leg #1 – Shohei Ohtani to Hit a Home Run

We’re starting early today because it’s Wednesday and we’ve got day games. Not to be a downer, but we’re coming up on a time where we can’t just wager on random baseball games in the middle of a workday. We can’t waste these opportunities. Why not just take the best home run hitter in the game right now at a reasonable price?

Just look at what Shohei Ohtani does to four-seam fastballs.

PitchOhatni ISO vs RHP (2025)Quintana ISO vs RHB (2025)
Four-seam Fastball.279.375

I know the haters are going to say that Shohei doesn’t hit home runs during the day, but that’s not totally true. He’s got three this season, and he hit like 19 last season. We’re talking Shohei Ohtani here, people. The man does whatever he wants. He’ll see Jose Quintana today, who is an absolute piñata to lefites this season. He’s given up 5 in just 17 innings of work to that side of the plate. Ohtani himself has a dong off Quintana in just one official at-bat. Feels easy.

Wednesday HR Parlay Leg #2 – Juan Soto to Hit a Home Run

When we have one guaranteed home run already in our pockets, we can’t waste it by taking a “maybe” guy in the night slate. That’s just not done on these streets anymore. Maybe in our Founding Fathers’ day, but not today. What we do now is take another guaranteed guy.

And if we’re being honest (we are), I don’t think there is a better guaranteed guy than Juan Soto. Look at what he’s doing to the four-seam fastball this season.

PitchSoto ISO vs RHP (L30 Days)Sugano ISO vs LHB (2025)
Four-seam Fastball.222.256

Here’s the thing with Soto, his price is terrible. Like terrible, terrible. How are we taking a guy at +230? The only reason is because he’s going to see Tomoyuki Sugano tonight. The guy has given up 19 home runs and he hasn’t even thrown 100 innings yet this season. Lefties smash this guy as they’ve accounted for 12 of those dongs. This feels almost too good to be true. Feels right.
