There’s not a book on the planet that wants to see us walk through the door, and here we are walking through the door with yet another banger. Feels right.

HR Parlay Leg #1 – Ramon Laureano to Hit a Home Run

Just like every other parlay we’ve ever made, we need a guy that we know for a fact will get us off the ground. There is no better feeling in this world than watching the first leg of your home run parlay put a ball on the moon. It’s like being born, except this time you get to remember it. We’re talking special stuff here.

Lucky for us, Ramon Laureano is going to face Zebby Matthews tonight, and I’m not sure if there is a park big enough to keep him in the yard.

Ramon is smashing lately, everyone knows that. The guy has a 98 mph average exit velocity over his last 15 at-bats versus the pitch mix he’ll see tonight. Toss in his 33% barrel rate on those same 15 at-bats, and we’re cooking like Jesse Pinkman.

The cherry on top is Zebby Matthews will be throwing to Laureano tonight. I like Zebby as much as the next guy, but his fastball gets smoked by righties. He throws it 40% of the time, so we know our boy Ramon will see one. When he does, we’ll see some magic. Feels easy.

HR Parlay Leg #2 – Rafael Devers to Hit a Home Run

We’ve got a win in our pockets, and now it’s time to cash this thing. When we’re in a situation like that, we can’t afford to get cute. We’ve got a lot of cash riding on this thing, so we need a guy who is going to respect all that glitter. That’s just how parlay betting works.

The thing with us tonight is we lucked out because Rafael Devers is playing, and he’s been crushing the pitch mix he’ll see from Dean Kremer.

Devers is a streaky guy, so we need to be really careful when we bet him. He has to be hot (he is), and he has to be facing a guy we know he can smash. That guy tonight is Dean Kremer. I like Dean just as much as the next guy, but facts are facts. He can look like a piñata at times. He’s given up 13 home runs to left-handed batters so far this season, and Devers is left-handed. Rafael has also taken this guy deep twice in his career, so he knows what he’s doing. It’s almost too easy at this point.
