Ontario Online Casinos Record $252 Million In Revenue For July, Up 37% On The Year

Revenue from online casinos in Ontario reached the second-highest monthly total in the province’s history for July.

The Canadian online casino games produced CA$252.3 million in revenue last month while taking in $6.74 billion in wagers.

This marks just the second time Ontario has surpassed $250 million in monthly revenue. July’s total only fell behind May’s record of $259.8 million.

Along with iCasino, Ontario’s online poker brought in $5.9 million in revenue.

Overall, between casinos, sports betting, and poker, Ontario online gaming brought in $311 million in revenue for July.

Ontario Online Casino Revenue Up 37%

Ontario continues to see significant revenue increases for 2025.

July’s total was up 37.4% from the $183.6 million it did in July 2024.

That has been the trend the province has seen all year. Overall, Ontario online casinos are also up over 37% in revenue for the year, sitting at nearly $1.7 billion through seven months.

Poker Seeing Minimal Growth in 2025

While casino games like slots and table games are up significantly for Ontario, online poker revenue remains just slightly above its 2024 pace.

The start of the year started well behind pace, but April saw a swing for 2025. Each of the last four months have seen year-over-year revenue improvements.

Slots, Table Games Account for Majority of Wagers

Ontario residents are spending most of their online gambling on slots and table games.

In July, they accounted for 89% of the online gambling wagers, an all-time high in the province.

Sports betting was responsible for 9% of wagers, while poker maintained its 2% total, where it has been since February 2024.

The revenue from slots and table games only accounted for 81% of the total for Ontario, while sports betting climbed to 17% and poker was at 2%.
