Following Steven Fisk’s surprising victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship as a +10000 longshot to begin the week to win outright, the PGA Tour heads overseas for the Baycurrent Classic. The tournament has a new sponsor, as it was the Zozo Championship the first six iterations, and it’s also switched venues to Yokohama Country Club.
With the tourney taking place in Japan, make sure to get your bets in a day earlier as it starts Wednesday evening in North America, and there are some solid names teeing it up, including two-time major champions in Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa. The field is limited, with just 78 golfers teeing it up, and there’s no cut.
Baycurrent Classic Odds 2025
I’m starting my card this week with a golfer that’s something of an enigma, in terms of not winning on the PGA Tour. Alex Noren has earned plenty of accolades on the DP World Tour, with twelve titles. Tasting victory has eluded him on the PGA Tour, but perhaps he can look to Cameron Young and Tommy Fleetwood in the last few months as other decorated players who finally broke through on the biggest stage.

Six Baycurrent Classic Winners
It’s hard to find anyone with better form than the strong Swede. Noren has won in two of his last three starts on the DP World Tour (British Masters, BMW PGA Championship), and has a pair of top-10s in his last two PGA Tour spins (T-3rd Wyndham, T-7th 3M Open). At +2000 odds to win outright, he has longer odds than the top-four players on the board, so you can get him with some decent value. In the last twelve rounds on the main circuit, he’s first in strokes gained: putting, and fifth in total strokes gained.
Baycurrent Classic 2025 Picks & Value Bets
- Garrick Higgo +3000: South African Garrick Higgo very nearly took home his third career PGA Tour title at the Sanderson Farms, where he eventually finished second, despite being in front the entire week. The event before that, Higgo was T-7th, so he comes in with strong form. His second victory came in April of 2025, as he won the Corales Puntacana Championship. He’s second in putting the last 24 rounds, allowing him to fill up the hole and perhaps do one better than the Sanderson Farms.
- Gary Woodland +4000: Though he hasn’t lifted a trophy since the 2019 US Open, Gary Woodland appears fully back after undergoing brain surgery in 2023. He was runner-up at the Houston Open in March, and coming in, has racked up three straight top-25’s. In the last 24 rounds on tour, Woodland is inside the top-25 in a slew of key ‘strokes gained’ categories.
- Eric Cole +7500: It’s a shame that the former Zozo Championship is moving from Narashino Country Club for Eric Cole, because the last two years he was T-2nd and T-6th. He has strong vibes playing in Japan, and his last tournament saw Cole post a top-10 at the Sanderson Farms Championship where he was on the fringes of contention in the final round.
- David Lipsky +20000: A deep longshot with intriguing potential is David Lipsky, who has posted a pair of third place showings in his last seven outings. Given that it’s a smaller field, I like Lipsky at these odds to potentially pop, and he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 10/20 markets.
