After taking Games 1 and 2 in hostile territory, the Seattle Mariners (90-72, 51-30 home) returned home in full control of the best-of-seven ALCS with the Toronto Blue Jays (94-68, 40-41 away). But the Jays outscored the Mariners 21-6 in a pair of road wins in Games 3 and 4, setting up a massive Game 5 on Friday in Seattle.
First pitch for Game 5 is scheduled for 3:08 pm PT/6:08 pm ET at T-Mobile Field. Toronto has opened as a slight betting favorite in the Blue Jays vs Mariners odds for Game 5.

The Blue Jays/Mariners moneyline for Game 5 has opened with Toronto as a -116 favorite (53.70% implied win probability), and the Mariners as -105 underdogs (51.22% implied win probability). The runline and total have yet to be posted at DraftKings.
FanDuel, however, has the Mariners as slight -116 chalk in Game 5 and Toronto as a -102 underdog. FanDuel has opened the run total at 7.0 with the under favored at -115.

Despite being slight Game 5 underdogs, Seattle has slightly shorter World Series odds, priced at +330 to win its first ever championship. Toronto is +390 to win its first title since 1993. The Dodgers, who own a 3-0 lead on the Brewers in the NLCS, are -175 odds-on favorites to repeat as World Series champions.

Gausman and Miller were their teams’ respective Game 1 starters. Gausman was good, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk over 5.2 innings with five strikeouts. Miller was even better, going a full six innings and allowing just one run on two hits and three walks in a 3-1 win.
The Mariners pounded out 10 runs in a 10-3 victory in Game 2.
The Toronto bats jumped to life in Games 3 and 4. The Jays mashed five home runs in a 13-4 win in Game 3, then added two more dingers in an 8-2 win in Game 4.
The streaky Mariners lost three straight home games four separate times during the regular season, including a three-game sweep at the hands of the Blue Jays in mid-April. The Mariners also lost their final three home games of the regular season to the Dodgers before taking two of three in Seattle against the Tigers in the ALDS.
