The clock is ticking on the college football season, as there’s only a handful of weeks left to make bank on a full slate. Saturday’s college football player props market is loaded with value, and I’ve targeted three wagers featuring players from some of the best teams in the nation. Below you’ll find my best bets for Week 11, and a detailed breakdown of why each selection stands out.

College Football Week 11 Player Props – Best Bets (Nov. 8)

PropOdds (Sportsbook)
Chauncey Bowens (UGA) Over 43.5 Rushing Yards-115 (at BetMGM)
Fernando Mendoza (IND) Over 1.5 TD Passes-130 (at Fanatics)
Carnell Tate (OSU) Under 79.5 Receiving Yards-114 (at FanDuel)

My college football player props card starts with over 43.5 rushing yards for Georgia’s Chauncey Bowens. The freshman has taken over the Bulldogs’ backfield and has a dream matchup versus Mississippi State’s awful run defense. I’m also targeting Over 1.5 TD passes for Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, as his Heisman Trophy odds candidacy desperately needs another strong showing.

Last but not least, I’m betting under 79.5 receiving yards for Ohio State’s Carnell Tate. That line is way too high given the likelihood of the Buckeyes shutting down their offensive starters shortly after halftime.

Week 11 College Football Player Prop: Chauncey Bowens Rushing Yards

Let’s start with Bowens. After starting the year as Georgia’s backup, he’s been thrust into the lead role and has not disappointed. He’s fresh off back-to-back 60+ rushing yard performances, and has at least that many yards on the ground in four of his last five games.

Bowens is averaging 6.9 yards per rush in his last two outings and should see plenty of volume as his team is a heavy road favorite. As for the matchup, it’s one that has Bowens licking his chops.

Opp Rush Yards/Game98th

Mississippi State enters play ranked 109th in EPA/rush allowed and 98th in rushing yards allowed per game.

Week 11 College Football Player Prop: Fernando Mendoza Passing TD

Moving on to Mendoza, whose Hoosiers are two touchdown favorites versus the Nittany Lions. Mendoza is fresh off a down game, which has allowed the Buckeyes’ Julian Sayin to overtake him in the player of the year race.

Speaking of Sayin, he just lit up Penn State last week to the tune of 307 yards and 4 passing TD. Mendoza is going to want to answer the bell and has plenty of ceiling performances already this season to draw from.

The Heisman contender has five games of at least 3 passing touchdowns, and four with 4 or more TD. I love betting over 1.5 passing scores, and will bet some of his touchdown escalator props as well.

Week 11 College Football Player Prop: Carnell Tate Receiving Yards

Finally, I’m betting against Sayin’s teammate Carnell Tate versus Purdue. The Buckeyes are 29.5-point favorites over the Boilermakers, and Purdue’s anemic offense is just as likely to be shutout as they are to reach 10 points.

That’s going to cap all of the Buckeyes ceilings, as I won’t be surprised if the starters are resting early in the 3rd quarter. Even if Tate stays in the game a little bit longer, he’s just not seeing the necessary volume as Ohio State’s number two option to justify this prop line.

Tate has five or fewer catches in all but two games this season. He’s a key part of the Buckeyes championship pursuit in the CFP odds, but his 18.2 yards per catch average is not sustainable. Expect his production to take a dip this week.
