  • Week 12 MACtion continues Tuesday with Kent State at Akron (7:30 PM ET) and Ohio at Western Michigan (8:00 PM ET)
  • Western Michigan’s Broc Lowry has rushed for 82+ yards in 4 of his last 5 games
  • See below for my favorite College Football player props and best bets for Tuesday’s MACtion slate

Tuesday night MACtion delivers two conference battles with major standings implications. Kent State travels to Akron for a 7:30 PM ET kickoff on ESPN2, followed by Ohio visiting Western Michigan at 8:00 PM ET.

The college football player props market has created several exploitable spots, and I’ve identified three plays that capitalize on specific matchup advantages.

Below you’ll find my best bets for Tuesday’s MACtin slate, along with detailed breakdowns on why each prop stands out.

Tuesday MACtion Player Props – Best Bets (Nov. 12)

PropOdds (Sportsbook)
Broc Lowry (WMU) Over 70.5 Rushing Yards-114 (at FanDuel)
Dru DeShields (KSU) Under 1.5 Passing TDs-235 (at Caesars)
Jordan Gant (AKR) Anytime Touchdown-192 (at Sleeper)

My Tuesday card kicks off with Broc Lowry’s rushing prop against an Ohio defense that’s managed just 15 sacks all season. The Western Michigan quarterback has been carving up defenses with his legs, and faces a Bobcats unit that generates zero pass rush.

I’m also fading Dru DeShields’ passing touchdown total – Kent State has reached the red zone just 13 times this year. Finally, Jordan Gant’s anytime touchdown prop remains playable despite heavy juice following his two-score explosion last week.

Lowry has been cooking on the ground. The dual-threat quarterback has ripped off 82+ yards in four of his last five games, including a 108-yard performance against Ball State. He’s averaging 4.7 yards per carry this season with eight rushing touchdowns through 9 games.

Now he faces an Ohio defense that ranks dead last in the MAC with 15 sacks. That’s brutal production from a defensive front, and it means Lowry will operate with clean pockets and clear running lanes all night.

Western Michigan’s offensive identity revolves around Lowry’s legs. They’re averaging just 319 total yards per game, with only 1,450 passing yards on the season. The Broncos need their quarterback to create plays with his feet, and he’s delivered consistently.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for 9 mph winds at Waldo Stadium, which should push both teams toward ground-heavy game scripts.

Yes, the juice stings at -235. But DeShields throwing multiple touchdowns requires Kent State to actually reach the end zone through the air, which has been a massive struggle all season.

DeShields blanked in the touchdown column last week against Ball State, completing just 15 of 27 passes for 212 yards. He’s averaging 1.38 passing touchdowns per game this year, with just one multi-TD performance in his last five outings.

Kent State’s offensive struggles run deeper than the quarterback play. They’ve managed just 13 red zone trips all season – worst in the MAC by a mile. Their 26.4% third-down conversion rate kills drives before they reach scoring territory. You can’t throw touchdowns when you’re punting from midfield.

Akron’s defense has forced nine interceptions and creates havoc in the secondary. Add in 12 mph winds at InfoCision Stadium, and DeShields faces an uphill battle to find the end zone twice.

Week 12 MACtion Player Prop: Jordan Gant Anytime Touchdown

Fresh off a two-touchdown performance against UMass, Gant remains Akron’s primary weapon near the goal line. The junior back has compiled 850 yards on 169 carries (5.0 YPC) with six total touchdowns this season.

His anytime touchdown odds crashed from +120 to -192 after last week’s explosion, but the price reflects reality. Gant dominates touches in scoring territory for a Zips offense that converts 75% of red zone opportunities – elite efficiency by MAC standards.

Akron has reached the red zone 36 times this season, nearly triple Kent State’s total. Gant operates as their goal-line hammer, averaging 16.9 carries per game with additional targets in the passing game. He scored three touchdowns against Duquesne and has shown multi-score upside when given volume.

Tuesday’s weather conditions actually strengthen these plays. Wind at both venues pushes teams toward conservative, ground-based attacks. That means more designed runs for Lowry, increased touches for Gant, and fewer passing attempts for DeShields. Some of these props have shortened since open, but there’s still meat on the bone across all three props.
