Cowboys vs Raiders SGP Leg #1 – Jake Ferguson Will Be Involved Tonight

Here’s how we play a game like this. We take a guy who has no chance of going under his receiving total, and you bet his over. Just to be safe, we can water it down a little but if we’re being honest, I don’t even think we have to do that tonight.

We’re talking Jake Ferguson here. He embarrasses people on a regular basis.

The thing with tonight is, the Raiders play a ton of zone (83+%). That is where our guy Jake does his best work. On the season, he’s got 384 yards through the air. Would you believe 300 of those yards have come against zones? All I’m saying is, this guy is going to be involved tonight. He could have 25+ by halftime.

Now that we already have a guy we know is going to hit, why not include someone who will give us street credit for the rest of our lives? I know that’s the move, you know that’s the move, everybody knows that’s the move. We’re not trying to be good here. We’re trying to be great.

The haters are going to say that this guy doesn’t even play, but once again, they’re as wrong as wrong can be. He just played 62% of the snaps last week. Once Jakobi Meyers got moved, we all kind of knew it was Thornton time. It’s here, people.

Now, did he do anything with his playing time? Not really. He caught a ball, but he also let a big one go right through his hands. On top of that, the Raiders had a touchdown called back because of him. Still, that was against the best defense in the NFL. Tonight, they’ll see one of the worst defenses in the Cowboys. How does Dont’e not record 5+ receiving yards in this environment? Feels easy.
