  • The Bills invade Houston for a date with the Texans Week 12 on TNF

Selecting which team will win, or if they’ll cover the spread is standard but it’s a wager that doesn’t create a buzz quite like hitting on a player who scores a touchdown. That provides instant gratification and keeps games exciting, even if it’s not a close contest, so I’m hunting for players to find pay dirt on Thursday Night Football.

I’ve put together three players to find the end zone in this Buffalo Bills (7-3) vs Houston Texans (5-5) skirmish. Buffalo has won three of four, with the lone loss coming to Miami, and Houston has righted the ship, with victories in five of seven after starting 0-3. I’m choosing three players to find pay dirt, and adding them all up for a same-game parlay has juicy +2800 odds, should they all record a TD.

Josh Allen Anytime TD (-117)

My first choice is the chalky selection, hoping Josh Allen continues to record TD’s at will with his legs, something he did three times last weekend against the Buccaneers. In his last four outings, the Bills pivot has found pay dirt running the football a whopping seven times.

For the campaign, Allen has found the end zone running the football ten times, good for third most in the NFL, behind only Jonathan Taylor (15) and Josh Jacobs (11).

The Bills star quarterback has 75 career rushing TD’s, tied with Cam Newton for the most in league history – just one more will get the job done, so you’d figure Buffalo will try and make it happen Thursday.

Woody Marks Anytime TD (+140)

Next I’m eyeing down a Texans’ running back who has led the team in rushing three of the last four contests in Woody Marks. He’s eclipsed double digit carries in five straight and six of seven, and recorded a TD two games ago.

What makes me especially bullish on Marks is the fact he’s up against a Bills squad that has surrendered 17 rushing TD’s, the most in the NFL. Last weekend to Tampa Bay, Buffalo allowed three touchdowns by runners, the fifth time in their last six duels they’ve given up multiple rushing touchdowns.

It’s possible to switch this from Marks to Nick Chubb (+550) for far more value, but the latter has just nine total touches the last two games as Houston has gone with the younger back in Marks.

Jayden Higgins Anytime TD (+550)

For my final selection I’m going with Texans wideout Jayden Higgins for a fun longshot. The rookie second round selection has progressed in his first season, with three of his four highest receiving yardage total contests coming in the last four outings. He’s hauled in three TD passes this year, with two of them coming in the last four battles.

With Davis Mills now the QB under center, (C.J. Stroud will miss third straight game with a concussion), Higgins has really been a focal point of the offense. He’s been targeted 14 times, catching nine passes, with his two highest outputs, 42 yards (with a TD), then a career-high 55 yards last weekend.

If you’re feeling especially frisky, including Josh Allen, Woody Marks and Jayden Higgins in a same-game TD parlay pays out at a cool +2800.
