Week 13 on the NFL calendar wraps up with a Monday Night Football showdown between the New York Giants (2-10, 0-7 away) and the surging New England Patriots (10-2, 4-2 home). The Pats have reeled off nine straight wins, and online sportsbooks expect another convincing victory per the latest MNF odds.

Personally, I’m predicting this game to be much closer than the market. New England has some serious injuries to overcome on its offensive line, and New York is about as feisty of an underdog as we’ve seen this season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15pm ET / 5:15pm PT from Gillette Stadium, in Foxborough, MA, with ESPN providing the broadcast coverage.

Below, you’ll find my Giants vs Patriots picks and predictions, plus the latest odds for Monday Night Football.

Giants vs Patriots Odds

Before making any Monday Night Football wager, be sure to consult the best football betting apps. You can currently get +7.5 on the Giants at DraftKings, while plenty of other sportsbooks have dropped the spread to +7. New York is a +320 underdog on the moneyline, while the total sits at 46.5.

Per the NFL public betting percentages, the Giants have covered in three straight contests, and in five of their last seven games overall. They’ve been an underdog in each of those outings, and are 4-1 ATS when catching 7 points or more.

Giants vs Patriots Picks and Predictions

New England enters play without a loss since September. They’ve soared up the Super Bowl 60 odds, but the level of competition during their win streak hasn’t exactly been elite. Only two of their 10 wins this season have come over teams occupying a playoff spot. The Pats road victory over Buffalo was by far their most impressive, but as we’ve seen the Bills haven’t looked like a title contender in some time.

New England squeaked out a win last week over the dreadful Bengals, but it came at a cost. Both starting left tackle Will Campbell and starting left guard Jared Wilson were lost to injury, which spells trouble against this Giants front. New York is loaded with pass rush studs including Brian Burns, Abdul Carter and Dexter Lawrence, and rank 12th in pass rush win rate per PFF.

The G-Men will need to create consistent pressure if they want to slow down Drake Maye. The sophomore QB is a legit contender in the NFL MVP odds, ranking top-five in passing yards, pass TD, and QBR.

The Giants defense is far from perfect, as they bleed production to enemy running backs. New York ranks last in the NFL in EPA/rush, rushing yards allowed, and rush TD surrendered. That’s good news for Pats rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson, who’s my favorite target in the NFL player props market.

  • Player-Prop Pick: TreVeyon Henderson Anytime TD (-108)

Henderson has scored five times in his last three games, and maintained his stranglehold on New England’s running back carries last week despite Rhamondre Stevenson’s return.

On the other side of the ball, New York welcomes back Jaxson Dart from a two-game absence due to a concussion. Dart ranks 13th among qualified QB’s in EPA/play, and third in rushing TD. His favorite target during his rookie season has been tight end Theo Johnson, and the matchup sets up nicely for the tandem. The Patriots have allowed the 10th most production to enemy tight ends, while Johnson has 60+ receiving yards or a touchdown in five of Dart’s last seven starts.

As for the rest of the New England defense, it’s about as big a pass funnel as there is. The Pats have allowed the third fewest rushing yards to opposing RB’s, but the fourth most receiving touchdowns to enemy wideouts.

The Giants offense has been clicking ever since Mike Kafka took over head coaching duties for Brian Daboll. New York has put up 47 points in its last two games versus Detroit and Green Bay, and 853 yards of total offense. That was with Jameis Winston under center, but Dart is just as capable of moving the football.

The rookie is far less turnover prone, and brings a rushing ceiling that Winston can’t match. Dart has scored six times in his last five starts, to go along with 7 pass TD. I’m expecting a big game from him under the National spotlight, and for New York to once again come through for us underdog bettors.
