The NFL Week 17 odds have opened at online sportsbooks. The penultimate week of the season inevitably includes multiple games with massive playoff implications. At the time of publication (just before the late-afternoon games in Week 16), only four teams had actually clinched berths in the NFL playoff bracket.

The table below sets out the opening NFL Week 17 odds, including the point spread, moneyline, and total for all 16 games on the slate. Three games (DAL/WSH, DET/MIN, DEN/KC) take place on Christmas Day on Thursday. A pair (HOU/LAC, BAL/GB) are on Saturday. Adding in the usual Monday nighter (LAR/ATL), Sunday is left with just a ten-game slate.

NFL Week 17 Odds

The only line that has yet to be posted is Ravens vs Packers. Green Bay QB Jordan Love left his team’s Week 16 game with a concussion and it’s unclear at this point who will be at the helm in Week 17: Love or QB2 Malik Willis.

The biggest spread on the board so far is from Patriots vs Jets, where New England is a 9.5-point road favorite as they look to move one step closer to clinching the AFC East.

The highest total is 51.5 in Cardinals vs Bengals, while the lowest total is a miniscule 34.5 in Steelers vs Browns, which is the lowest total of the entire season to date.

Opening Eagles vs Bills Odds

Arguably the marquee game of the week sees the reigning Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles (10-5, 5-3 away) traveling to Orchard Park to face the Buffalo Bills (10-4, 6-1), who still have a shot to track down New England for first in the AFC East.

The Bills have opened as full field-goal favorites with the total at 45.5. Temperatures are forecasted to be near-freezing with substantial winds (gusts up to 20 mph) and a 30% chance of snow. Don’t be surprised if the conditions push the total below 45.5.

Opening Texans vs Chargers Odds

Another massive game in the AFC playoff race features the Houston Texans (9-5, 4-3 away) visiting the LA Chargers (10-4, 6-2 home). Both would make the postseason if it started today, but both have plenty of work to do in order to clinch a berth.

The Texans, who are riding the NFL’s second-longest win streak (six games, which will become seven if they beat the hapless Raiders as 14-point chalk today), have opened as slight 1.5-point road favorites (-125 on the moneyline).

Opening Bears vs 49ers Odds

NFC powers meet in San Francisco in the Week 17 Sunday Night Football matchup with the 49ers (10-4, 4-2 home) hosting the NFC North-leading Chicago Bears (11-4, 5-3 away).

The Niners have opened as 3.0-point home chalk and a fairly short -162 on the moneyline, a price which carries a 61.83% implied win probability.
