It seems like just yesterday we were getting all fired up for football season. It was summer, it was warm, and we couldn’t wait for Week 0 of the College Football season. Fast-forward to now, and it’s almost all behind us. It’s crazy how that works. It’s kind of sad when you think about it. But we can’t be sad that it’s basically over; instead, we should be happy that it happened. In fact, I’m thinking we send these kids off with the utmost form of respect. We should bet on them.

For most, these are meaningless games, so it’s on us to make sure they’re not out there playing for nothing. It’s the least we can do. Lucky for us, I’ve gone through every single matchup on the board and found two that will definitely stuff a bunch of cash in our pockets. Feels like opportunity.

College Football Bowl Games Pick #1 – Pittsburgh Stomps East Carolina

We call these games “meaningless games,” but are they? I mean, for many of these kids, these Bowl Games mark the end of a chapter in their lives. A chapter that began years ago and shaped who they’ve ultimately become as men.

One look at these images makes it hard to call these games “meaningless.”

Still, to us bettors, these games are bullshit games. At the end of the day, nothing is really on the line. No National Championship or anything like that. Just look at the list of opt-outs for these Bowl Games. They are longer than the list of kids actually playing.

One huge opt-out for the Military Bowl is East Carolina’s Quarterback, Katin Houser. That is a pretty big deal considering he threw for 3300 yards this season. He was literally the engine that made the Pirates go. Once news of his opt-out spread, the line for this game went from 4 to 10.5. I still don’t think 10.5 is enough. Pittsburgh should roll. Feels easy.

College Football Bowl Game Pick #2 – Clemson Will Show Up

At the beginning of this season, the Clemson Tigers were a shoo-in to win the ACC. Many thought that the only game on their schedule was LSU in Week 1. They just needed to win that game, and BAM, they were instantly in the College Football Playoffs.

Life comes at you fast. Fast forward to today, and they seem to be happy playing in the Pinstripe Bowl.

The Tigers somehow lost five games this year, turning it into a lost season. We could argue that no team in the country had more of a lost season than Clemson. We’d be wrong, though, because Penn State definitely had a more lost season than Clemson.

The Nittany Lions’ coach didn’t even survive the season; it was so bad. In fact, if they lose this game, they won’t even have a winning season. Because of that, most of their talent opted out or won’t play much in this game.

We just saw against Rutgers what their defense is likely to look like in this game when they gave up 36 points. I’m thinking Clemson hangs at least 26 points on them. Feels easy.
