That’s just how winning every bet we make works. Lucky for us, we’re looking at a day full of College Football Playoff games. That’s just incredible luck when you think about it. The best way to go about betting a day like today would be to get down on the first game, while also laying some glitter on the last game of the night. That way, the action lasts all day. College Football Bowl Games Pick #1 – Texas Tech Is No Joke

The first game of the day is between the Oregon Ducks and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Obviously, we need to get some action on this thing because that’s the only way we can gamble all day. A wise man once said, “You can’t gamble all day if you don’t start in the morning.” That statement is as true today as it ever was.

The first thing that we need to consider is the fact that Texas Tech will be in their all black uniforms. Sharp.

Obviously, uniforms are important, but defense might be a little more important. One stat I think is the most telling is yards per play. There is no running and hiding from that stat. On the season, Texas Tech was one of only two teams to allow less than four yards per play. The other was Ohio State. Maybe you’ve heard of them.

We’ve all heard our grandparents say, “defense wins championships,” and they’re right. It’s hard to lose if the other team can’t score, and that’s exactly what the Red Raiders have been doing. Not allowing their opponents to score. Over the last four games, the Red Raiders haven’t allowed more than 9 points in a single game. Two of those games were against BYU. I’m thinking Texas Tech rides their defense in this game and covers the 2.5 points. Feels easy.

College Football Bowl Game Pick #2 – Georgia And Ole Miss Will Score Points

By the time the Georgia Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels take the field, our hangovers will be a thing of the past. Hopefully, by then, we’ll be ready to take on another round. Who knows? One thing we do know is that we’ll be looking for some points. Night games are for overs. Everyone knows that.

And just like this season, I think it’s going to be Georgia carrying us to this over.

Here’s the thing: Both of these teams can score. We’ve all seen them play. When they met earlier this season, they put 78 points on the board. Georgia came away victorious in that game (43-35), but it’s not like they killed the Rebels. Ole Miss was right there.

Fast forward to today, and one thing is glaring. Lane Kiffin is no longer the Ole Miss coach. He’s headed for greener pastures at LSU, so it’ll be a bunch of coordinators calling this game for the Rebels. To their credit, they hung 41 points on Tulane last time out. I’m thinking we see a solid effort out of Ole Miss, but they fall to Georgia in a 38-24 type game. If that happens, this thing is flying over 55.5 points. Feels easy.
