It’s been six weeks since the last UFC event, and while UFC 324 has taken some lumps leading up to tonight’s action, the card still promises to be a banger.

The night will be headlined by the Justin Gaethje vs Paddy Pimblett interim lightweight championship fight, and anytime Gaethje steps into the Octagon it’s must see tv.

The UFC 324 prelims are set to get underway from T-Mobile Arena at 5 pm ET, 2 pm PT on Paramount+, with the Main Card fights starting at 9 pm ET, 6 pm PT also on Paramount+.

Here are my UFC 324 picks, predictions and updated odds for Saturday’s full card.

UFC 324 Pick #1: Justin Gaethje Moneyline

The amount of disrespect oddsmakers are showing Gaethje, aka “The Highlight”, ahead of this bout is shocking. The 37-year-old has only ever lost to the all-time greats, and no offense to Pimblett, but nobody believes he belongs in that class. Sure, at 37 Gaethje is getting a little long in the tooth, but he still has the tools to disrupt everything his opponent throws at him.

Tale of the Tape

The popular sentiment is that Pimblett will eventually submit Gaethje tonight. Good luck. Gaethje has elite takedown and scrambling skills, and won’t allow the fight to go to the ground. That’s bad news for Pimblett, who doesn’t stand much of a chance on his feet.

Gaethje is a better, more powerful striker, and proved in his last bout that he still has a strong chin. Pimblett, meanwhile, is very hittable and keeps his chin high, which is a recipe for disaster against The Highlight. Pimblett won’t be able to keep his distance from Gaethje for long, and few fighters are more effective striking from the clinch than The Highlight.

No question, this is the fight of the night. I expect Gaethje to emerge victorious and collect a record 15th straight performance bonus cheque on the way. Best part? You can watch it for free on Paramount+.

UFC 324 Pick #2: Cortes-Acosta vs Lewis Under 1.5 Rounds

For my next selection, I’m going under 1.5 rounds in the Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs Derrick Lewis bout. Lewis wants nothing more than to stand tall and throw bombs, which explains why he’s the UFC’s all-time knockout leader. Eight of his last 11 fights have lasted less than a round and a half, and I expect this one will as well.

Cortes-Acosta, meanwhile, is an up-and-comer in the heavyweight division and finished three of his five opponents in 2025, the last two inside the first round. Salsa Boy has significantly improved his striking, and neither man is expected to grapple much. Expect a flurry of haymakers from both sides, with one ending this bout early.

• UFC Predictions: Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs Derrick Lewis Under 1.5 Rounds (+120)

UFC 324 Pick #3: Song Yadong Moneyline

I’ll round out my card with another plus-money target. Bantamweights Sean O’Malley and Song Yadong will square off tonight, and Yadong’s +170 price tag screams value.

That’s because O’Malley is already whispering about retirement, and he’s delivered back-to-back uninspiring efforts en route to losing to Merab Dvalishvili twice.

Yadong is the younger, more powerful fighter, with better boxing and grappling skills. That’s not to say O’Malley isn’t dangerous; it’s just his best days are behind him.

I’m counting on Yadong taking this fight to the mat, where he should have no problem controlling the bout. O’Malley’s defense and grappling are far from elite, while Yadong has shown he’s more than comfortable grinding fights to a halt, escaping with a victory by decision.
