  • Why Andrew Nembhard 7.5 assists prop offers strong value
  • We analyze the Pacers vs Knicks player prop market and offer expert betting advice

Last year, Indiana eliminated long-time playoff nemesis New York in the Eastern Conference finals.

That seems like forever ago.

This season, without Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers are among the NBA’s worst teams, while the Knicks are chasing Detroit for the top spot in the East.

The Pacers and Knicks meet again tonight at Madison Square Garden. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm, ET (MSG and FDSIN).

The Knicks are obvious home favorites, but our analysis is focusing strictly on the player prop market. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns continue to drive a high-efficiency New York attack. Indiana is navigating a transitional period, having recently acquired center Ivica Zubac — who remains questionable for his debut — while lleaning on Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard to generate offense.

Here are our best prop plays for Knicks vs. Pacers.

OG Anunoby (NYK)15.5 -124/-1065.5 -110/-120N/A1.5 -152/+115

Oddsmakers have identified significant volume on New York’s playmakers, specifically regarding Jalen Brunson’s distribution. While his consensus assist line sits at 5.5, the juice is heavily tilted toward the over (-140), suggesting the market expects him to facilitate often against an Indiana defense that struggles to contain penetration. Similarly, Josh Hart continues to be valued as a secondary connector; his assist line of 4.5 carries a -149 price on the over, indicating confidence in his ability to keep the ball moving in transition.

One of the more interesting discrepancies involves Karl-Anthony Towns’ scoring output. While the consensus line is 18.5 points (-115), books are split on the total. DraftKings has listed his open and current total at 19.5, while FanDuel is holding the line at 18.5. This one-point variance offers bettors an opportunity to shop for the most favorable number depending on their lean.

On the Indiana side, Pascal Siakam remains the focal point with a points line of 22.5. However, his rebounding line of 6.5 sees the odds leaning toward the under (-124), likely due to the difficult matchup against New York’s size and rebounding tenacity. Meanwhile, Andrew Nembhard is seeing massive respect as a distributor; his assist prop is set at a high 7.5 with the odds still favoring the over (-142), reflecting his role as the primary engine of the Pacers’ offense in Haliburton’s absence.

Pacers vs Knicks Player Prop Picks & Predictions

Based on the statistical profiles, recent form, and roster discrepancies outlined above, these three player props represent the highest value for Tuesday night’s matchup.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds (-135) at DraftKings

The strongest edge on the board is found on the glass. Karl-Anthony Towns has been a rebounding machine, and the absence of Mitchell Robinson forces him into a massive workload in the paint. The data supports a heavy lean toward the over on his rebounding total.

  • Statistical Edge: Over his last 10 games, Towns is averaging 13.0 rebounds per game, comfortably clearing the posted line. This dominance is even more pronounced at home, where he averages 12.2 rebounds across 25 contests.
  • Matchup Compatibility: Indiana is allowing 11.2 offensive rebounds per game on the season. With Zubac questionable and New York boasting an elite offensive rebounding unit, Towns should find ample opportunities for second-chance boards.
  • Situational Trend: Towns has hit the over on this prop line in 80% (4 of 5) of his last five starts.

Andrew Nembhard Over 7.5 Assists (-142) at FanDuel

The Pacers’ offense runs directly through Andrew Nembhard. The oddsmakers have adjusted the line, but perhaps not enough to account for his recent production as the sole primary ball-handler.

  • Statistical Edge: Nembhard has embraced the role of floor general. In his last 10 games, he is averaging 8.3 assists per game, nearly a full assist higher than tonight’s line. His usage rate has ticked up to 26.0% over the last five games.
  • Volume & Pace: Indiana plays with pace, and even in away games, Nembhard has been effective, averaging 7.4 assists on the road. With McConnell questionable, Nembhard’s minutes could extend into the high 30s.
  • Situational Trend: Nembhard has exceeded the 7.5 assist mark in 60% of his last 10 games, averaging 32.9 minutes during that span.

Pascal Siakam Under 6.5 Rebounds (-124) at BetMGM

While Siakam is the offensive engine for Indiana, his rebounding numbers face a tough ceiling against this specific Knicks lineup.

  • Statistical Edge: Siakam is averaging exactly 6.5 rebounds on the season, but New York is an elite rebounding team that limits opponent opportunities. The Knicks’ slow pace limits total possessions, and Towns often drags opposing bigs away from the rim, but Siakam will likely be boxing out physical wings like Hart and Anunoby (if active) rather than freely grabbing boards.
  • Situational Trend: In games against top-10 rebounding teams this season, Siakam has stayed under this total in 65% of contests. The market juice (-124) indicates sportsbooks anticipate a lower output on the glass.

Knicks vs Pacers Injury Report & Impact

Pacers: The most significant omission remains Tyrese Haliburton, who is out for the season recovering from his Achilles’ injury. This absence places the entire playmaking burden on Andrew Nembhard. The situation is compounded by the status of backup point guard T.J. McConnell, who is listed as Questionable with a hamstring issue. If McConnell sits, Nembhard’s minutes floor raises significantly.

In the frontcourt, newly acquired center Ivica Zubac is Questionable (ankle) for his Pacers debut. Additionally, rookie Johnny Furphy has been ruled OUT after suffering a torn ACL, and wing Aaron Nesmith (hand) is listed as Questionable. These absences leave Indiana vulnerable in the paint and thin on the wing.

Knicks: For New York, the primary concern is the status of defensive stalwart OG Anunoby, who is listed as Questionable with a toe injury. If Anunoby is ruled out, expect extended minutes for Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges to cover the defensive gaps.

The Knicks’ interior depth remains thin with Mitchell Robinson officially ruled OUT (ankle). This confirms that Karl-Anthony Towns will shoulder the bulk of the center minutes without a traditional rim protector backing him up. Reserve guard Miles McBride remains OUT following core muscle surgery, though the recent acquisition of Jose Alvarado helps mitigate this loss.

Knicks vs Pacers Game Odds

The oddsmakers have installed New York as a heavy favorite, with the line moving slightly in their favor since opening.

  • Spread: New York Knicks -11.5 (-114) | Indiana Pacers +11.5 (-107)
  • Total: Over/Under 224.5 Points (Over -108 / Under -112)
  • Moneyline: New York Knicks -625 | Indiana Pacers +454

New York enters the contest as the clear betting favorite, holding a -625 moneyline price that has shortened from an opening of -592. The market expects a convincing performance from the home team, setting the spread at -11.5. The total for the game is currently set at 224.5, with the juice slightly favoring the under at -112.
