- There are only 6 games on the NBA slate this Saturday, February 21
- Still, it’s enough for us to put together a little parlay action we can all be proud of
- See below for my two-leg, +187 NBA parlay for tonight
When I was a kid, we had NBA basketball coming out of our ears every single Saturday. You couldn’t escape it. No matter what channel we turned on, no matter what time of the day, there was an NBA basketball on it. Some teams played two, maybe three games on a Saturday. That’s how I remember it at least. We don’t have that level of action anymore, but today we do have six games, which is more than enough to throw together a little two-legger for the boys (and girls).
One way I know of to make it seem like there are more games is to take one play from the first game, then pair it with one play from the last game. It makes us feel like we’ve been watching ball all day when in reality it’s really only two games. We have to outsmart these little Saturday, six-game slates and damn it, this is the best way I know how. Feels lucrative.

NBA Parlay Leg #1 – Anthony Black Can Kind of Shoot
The first game of the day is at 5:00 pm ET, and it’s between the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns. It’s on NBA TV too, so most of us can watch it all go down. What I think we’ll need for this one is a made-three pointer prop. We can just grab a guy who only has to hit two to win and call it a day.
The guy I’m thinking of is an ascending player who gets it in every now and then. His name is Anthony Black.
The three-ball market is one of my favorite ones because it’s hard to price. We know each player’s shooting percentage, but we don’t always know how many three-point attempts they will take in a game. In some games, it could be three, while in others, that number could be seven or more. All we have to do in that situation is find a chuck-and-duck guy and toss some coin on him.
Anthony Black certainly fits that description. For starters, he’s not a bad three-point shooter. Not great at 35%, but not bad either, as he’s hit at least two threes in four of his last five games. What I like most is the fact that in those five games, he hasn’t attempted fewer than five threes in any game. In one game, he tossed up seven three-ball attempts. Simply put, the volume is there, we just need the ball to go in twice. Feels easy.

NBA All-Star Game Parlay Leg #2 – OG Anunoby Isn’t That Bad
The final game of the day will be a nationally televised jump-off between the New York Knicks and Houston Rockets. It’s on ABC, so everyone will get to see this thing. By the time it starts, we’ll already have Anthony Black in our pockets, so we’ll need to be extra careful. We can’t have someone who will blow it.
I’m thinkning Og Anunoby. People forget, he can put the ball in the basket when he wants to.
The haters are going to say that OG is coming off an injury, and they’re half right. He missed around two weeks this month, but he’s back now. He just played 31 minutes the other night against Detroit, so it appears like the injury is behind him. Teams don’t play hurt guys 30+ minutes if the injury is still an issue.
One thing that was noticeable in the Pistons game was the fact that OG seems to think he’s Reggie Miller these days. The guy took eight three-point attempts that night. It was the fourth time in five games that he had taken at least eight three-point attempts. He only hit one of them, but the fact that he just kept firing gives me confidence. I think he fires away again tonight and if he does, it should be easy for him to hit at least two threes. Feels easy.
