The Ontario online casino industry got off to a good start in 2026.
According to iGaming Ontario, the province produced CA$308.9 million in January, the second-highest monthly revenue total for Ontario online casinos.
The total was a slight step back from December’s record total of $320.5 million by 3.6%. However, it was a 33.7% increase from January 2025’s $231.0 million.
Along with second-highest revenue, Ontario also reported the second-highest iGaming wagers for a month in January at $8.18 billion.
Ontario iGaming Revenue Continues Steady Incline
Ontario continues to see steady growth in its iGaming product.
These online casinos in Canada have not necessarily increased in revenue and wagers each month, but over the course of a year, there are notable jumps.
This year got off to a similar start as revenue jumped up $77.9 million year-over-year. At this time last year, revenue grew by $65.4 million. So, though the percentage of increase may be dipping, the total amount just keeps getting bigger.
Given where 2025 concluded, it’s not out of the question that Ontario online casinos would reach $400 million in monthly revenue by December.
Peer-To-Peer Poker Leveling Off
While overall iGaming is growing in Ontario, the peer-to-peer poker isn’t seeing any kind of consistent growth.
Since January 2025, there have been different peaks and valleys, but everything has maintained around $6 million in monthly poker revenue.
Over the last 13 months, peer-to-peer poker is averaging $5.9 million in revenue and $141.1 million in wagers.
