How to Watch Notre Dame vs Ohio State

Tip off for this Notre Dame (23-10, 6-6 away) vs Ohio State (27-7, 15-3 home) second round clash is set for 4:00 PM ET / 1:00 PM PT from the Value City Arena from Columbus, Ohio, and will be broadcast across the nation on ESPN. You can also stream the game on the ESPN app, Fubo TV or YouTube TV.

It’s a Regional 1 in Fort Worth showdown between #6 the Irish and #3 Buckeyes. Notre Dame has a 4-1 edge all-time between these two programs, the most recent being way back in 2017. However, online sportsbooks are siding with the home squad, installing them them as 5.5-point favorites.

Notre Dame vs Ohio State Picks

• Over 148.5 Points (-110 at DraftKings)

This is an intriguing matchup between two guards who were named AP All-American Second Team selections last week. They were teammates for USA U-17 national squad in 2022, but now rivals – Hannah Hidalgo (ND) vs Jaloni Cambridge (OSU). With two fantastic guards duking it out, I’m expecting there to be points aplenty in this epic clash. In particular, because both ND and OSU haven’t featured stifling defenses.

The former is a two-time ACC Player of the Year, leading Division I in steals with 181 and is third in scoring at 25.2 points per game. The latter was tops in Big Ten scoring and eighth in Division I (22.7 PPG). 

Hidalgo was unstoppable in the first round against Fairfield, racking up 23 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and six assists. For a while she was threatening to become the first men’s or women’s player to record a quadruple double in a March Madness affair.

Cambridge had a game-high 21 points in the first tilt of the tourney versus Howard, a 21-point victory for OSU. 81% of bettors have been favoring Ohio State to come out on top on the moneyline, according to DraftKings. That’s despite ND making 14 straight sweet 16’s, and the Buckeyes failing to do so in the last two attempts.

Why I’m expecting it to be over 148.5 points is because both teams have put up quite a lot of points on the campaign, ranking 13th and 21st in the nation respectively.

The D is a lot more wonky for both units, with ND 188th and OSU 215th. With both of the aforementioned guards controlling the pace with elite ball handling skills, there should be a lot of chances to rack up points in droves.
