Timeline of Events
- July 29, 2025: Based purely on the odds, Trump’s impeachment chances had been over 50% for much of the past week. But the implied probability has come under 50% as of July 29.
US Presidents Who Have Been Impeached
Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were both impeached by the US House of Representatives, but were allowed to stay in office after being acquitted by the Senate.
Richard Nixon would almost certainly have been impeached in 1974 for his involvement in the Watergate affair, but chose to resign instead. He remains, to this day, the only US President to ever resign.
