Baseball is back in full swing, and today’s slate offers a fantastic mix of heavy home favorites and intriguing underdog value. The early-season action kicks off at 4:35 PM ET when the New York Yankees visit the San Francisco Giants. The board is packed with compelling matchups, capping off late into the night at 10:10 PM ET on March 27 when the heavily favored Los Angeles Dodgers host the Arizona Diamondbacks. It isn’t too late to check out World Series odds as well.
Early-season games often yield the best betting value as the public adjusts to fresh starting rotations. I’m looking at American League heavyweights like the Houston Astros trying to hold serve as home favorites, while live road underdogs attempt to flip the script elsewhere. Whether you want to lay the juice with dominant squads or sniff out plus-money upsets on the moneyline, navigating today’s MLB odds requires pinpointing distinct pitching advantages.

MLB Odds Today: Latest Lines and Betting Picks
Odds as of March 27, 2026, at 10:18 AM ET from bet365, BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, and FanDuel
Today’s slate is defined by heavy home favorites, most notably the Dodgers laying a massive -252 on the moneyline against the Diamondbacks. I see much tighter betting lines in games like the Yankees visiting the Giants, where the Yankees are modest road favorites.
There has been massive line movement in the Tigers vs Padres matchup. The Padres originally opened as 1.5-run underdogs on the run line but completely flipped to 1.5-run favorites leading up to the opening pitch.
This swing was largely driven by heavy, sharp action backing Padres starter Nick Pivetta against Tigers southpaw Tarik Skubal. Oddsmakers were forced to make a drastic adjustment to balance the liability, but remember that MLB public betting trends and line movement alone do not equal true betting value.
MLB Expert Picks and Predictions for Today’s Games
Dodgers -1.5 (-110 at FanDuel) vs Diamondbacks
The Dodgers enter their matchup against the Diamondbacks boasting a lethal lineup that is seeing the ball incredibly well. Dodgers hitters have posted a .303 batting average and a robust .940 OPS. They are set to face a Diamondbacks pitching staff yielding a 9.00 overall ERA.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers’ starting rotation has been highly effective, maintaining a 3.00 ERA and an impressive 0.83 WHIP.
Given the huge offensive mismatch, laying the 1.5 runs with the Dodgers on the run line (-110 at FanDuel) offers much better value than swallowing the steep moneyline juice. I expect them to mash a few dingers and cruise to an easy victory.
Tigers Moneyline (+104 at DraftKings) vs Padres
Take the Tigers to pull off the road upset on the moneyline (+104 at DraftKings) against the Padres. This pick is heavily driven by a drastic statistical advantage on the bump. Tigers’ starting pitching, led by their ace Valdez, has been absolutely perfect.
Conversely, Padres starters, headlined by King, have been shelled, carrying an 18.00 ERA into this contest.
The Tigers also hold a distinct edge in the batter’s box, where they are hitting .308 compared to a sluggish .152 average for the Padres. At plus money, the Tigers are an absolute lock to string together some base hits and secure the bag.
Yankees vs Giants: Under 8 (-102 at DraftKings)
If you are looking for a total to target, the under in the Yankees-Giants matchup is highly compelling (-102 at DraftKings). The Yankees turn to young flamethrower Cam Schlittler to anchor a starting rotation that boasts a 0.00 ERA and a microscopic 0.47 WHIP.
They match up perfectly against a Giants offense that has been virtually non-existent, hitting just .097 early on.
While the Giants’ starters have struggled, their bullpen has been lights-out with a 0.75 WHIP. With the Yankees pitching staff suffocating opponents and the Giants relievers keeping games tight, runs will be at a premium. I am hammering the under.
