The one I’ve got my eye on is the matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns. The game is on Prime, so we can all watch it, and on top of that, it starts at 10 pm ET, which gives us the perfect nightcap. If we’re being honest, I’ve never been more excited to bet on something in my life. This could easily be the greatest SGP we’ve ever moved on. Feels exciting.

Blazers/Suns SGP Leg #1 – Devin Booker Has to Score

The playoffs are all about superstars. Everyone knows that. Whenever the season comes down to win or go home, the ball is in the hands of the superstars. It makes sense when we think about it. Even when we don’t think about it, it makes sense.

When it comes to the Phoenix Suns, that superstar is Devin Booker. Spoiler alert: He can score the basketball.

A great place for any NBA Playoff SGP to start is with a superstar’s scoring prop. If the game is close, we’ll get late action from them, and if it’s a blowout, it’s likely because that guy went off. In Booker’s case, this theory fits like a glove.

For starters, in the month of April, he’s only played three games. It was a “get to a good spot and rest Booker” strategy, and it worked for the Suns. Devin was able to sit out the last two games, so he’s going to be fresh. In the three April games he appeared in, he dropped 30+ points. There is nothing I feel more confident in than him scoring at least 25+ tonight. Feels easy.

Blazers/Suns Parlay Legs #2 & #3 – Devin Booker Does All the Things

The thing with Booker is he’s not just a scorer. He does all the things, so we might as well just parlay some of the peripheral stats and call it a day. On top of scoring tonight, Booker is going to be asked to drop dimes as well as grab rebounds. These guys are in “must-win” mode at this point, even though the Suns will have another shot to qualify if they lose.

Looking at what Booker was able to do in his last game versus a playoff team, it’s safe to say we can back his floor for rebounds and assists.

We can look at all the advanced data we want, but I think it all leads us to one place: Booker is grabbing 4+ rebounds and dropping 6+ dimes. He had nine rebound chances in each of his last two games, so we’re good there. In terms of assists, he had 12+ potentials in three of his last four. We just need him to convert his peripheral stats at a 50% rate, and we’re home. If I had to guess, I’d say he goes for at least 5+ boards and 7+ assists. We’re getting a discount at 4+ and 6+. Feels easy.
