I don’t know about you, but last night’s NBA games were perfect. They had everything. We’re talking down to the wire, exciting, guys trying to hurt the other team’s stars, everything. Magic/76ers SGP Leg #1 – Tyrese Maxey Has to Score

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Joel Embiid will be out tonight. Honestly, that’s a bad joke since he’s actually out for a good reason this time, so if we’re laughing, we should stop. Still, the 76ers have plenty of firepower to compete, so they’re good. Guys will step up.

The first guy that comes to mind is Tyrese Maxey. The guy can score the rock.

Obviously, the NBA Playoffs mean superstar time. It makes sense because these guys want to win, and letting their best players score the basketball feels like the best way to win. We’ve seen it since the very first NBA Playoffs. This theory has legs.

The obvious scorer for the 76ers is Tyrese Maxey. This is basically his team at this point, given the fact that Embiid is out so much. I’m thinking 25+ points is a reasonable expectation for him. The haters are going to say that he’s only gone for 25+ in six of his last 10 games without Embiid, but as usual, the haters have no idea what they’re talking about. In two of those games, he went for 23 points. In the other two, he went for 21. The guy was right there. He’ll get to 25+ in a playoff game. Feels easy.

Magic/76ers Parlay Legs #2 & #3 – Paolo Banchero & Jalen Suggs Will Step Up

Obviously, we’ll need to go to the Magic side for the rest of this thing, because that’s where our free square is located. For all the reasons I said above, Paolo Banchero’s 20+ points is the freebie. He’s done that in seven of his last eight games, where he played 30+ minutes against a team that plays at a similar pace as Philly.

What we need to find is another guy to pair with Paolo and Tyreese and that guy looks to be Jalen Suggs.

I don’t know when this guy became Ray Allen out there, but at some point, it happened. The man has hit at least two threes in 16 of his last 20 games. But as we always talk about, it’s not the makes that we focus on, it’s the attempts. In his last five games, he’s had three instances where he attempted nine or more threes. Last game the guy jacked up 15. If he takes anywhere close to that many tonight, he’s hitting at least two. Feels easy.
