After the New York Knicks won the first game against the Atlanta Hawks 113-102, the teams are back at it for Game 2 Monday evening. Jalen Brunson (28 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (25) were fantastic in the opening salvo on Saturday. That resulted in New York’s sixth victory in their last seven against their counterparts. Atlanta was paced by CJ McCollum’s 26 points and Dyson Daniels’ team-leading eleven assists and nine boards.

Tip off at Madison Square Garden is at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT, broadcast in the United States on NBC and Peacock. In this article I’ll provide my two favorite prop bets to wager on for this Eastern Conference first round tilt.

Jalen Brunson has the highest scoring number at 26.5 for New York, and Jalen Johnson 21.5 the most for Atlanta. Karl-Anthony Towns has the highest rebounding prop at 12.5 for the Knicks, with Brunson’s 7.5 assists, highest for both sides in this contest. Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s 3.5 total three lines if the biggest of anyone.

Atlanta has proven entirely incapable of slowing down dribble penetration or closing out shooters. In Game 1, he commanded a massive 35.2% usage rate, tossing up 22 field goal attempts and earning eight trips to the stripe.

Brunson’s has gone over his 26.5 points line in five of his last six versus the Hawks, and he’s also done so in three of his last four overall outings. Additionally, in five of his last seven postseason affairs, the Knicks guard has eclipsed 27 or more points.

Dyson Daniels Over 5.5 Assists

While New York plays a suffocating halfcourt defense, Dyson Daniels is the engine getting Atlanta up and down the court. He logged 36 minutes in the series opener, masterfully distributing the basketball for eleven assists with an elite 5.50 assist-to-turnover ratio.

In four of his last five outings, the Hawks guard has distributed at least six assists. In three of four skirmishes against the Knicks, Daniels has racked up at least eight dimes. With reliable finishing targets in CJ McCollum and Jalen Johnson, banking on Daniels to record six markers offers one of the strongest mathematical edges on the board.
