Michigan Online Casino Revenue Reaches Record $322 Million In March

Michigan online casinos blew past their previous monthly revenue record in March.

Last month, the Michigan iGaming platforms tallied $322.1 million in gross gaming revenue, a new record by over $6 million from the previous best of $315.8 million in December.

On top of setting a new monthly record, the year-over-year revenue growth was 23.6% for the Michigan online casinos when compared to last March’s $260.5 million.

March’s Michigan Online Casino Revenue Breakdown

Here’s a look at how each of the 15 online casinos in Michigan performed in March, compared to a year ago.

Michigan’s March revenue through iGaming generated $64.1 million in state tax revenue, along with an additional $23.6 million going to city and local jurisdictions.

Takeaways from March’s Michigan OC Revenue

Along with a record month of revenue, here’s a few other notable takeaways from Michigan iGaming in March.

• FanDuel Casino set a new record for a Michigan operator in a single month with $85.8 million in revenue. The previous best was set by FanDuel in December, when it recorded $76.9 million in revenue.
• Six different operators recorded over $20 million in revenue for the first time in Michigan’s history. BetMGM Casino ($71.5 million), DraftKings Casino ($40.1 million), BetRivers Casino ($25.3 million), Hard Rock Bet Casino ($21.6 million), and Fanatics Casino ($21.5 million) all cleared the mark, along with FanDuel.
• After its record debut in December, Hard Rock Bet had seen its monthly revenue decline month-to-month in January and February. March saw a slight uptick from $20.2 million in February to $21.6 million in March. This is a positive sign as Hard Rock settles into its place in the state.
• Play Gun Lake, also known as betParx Casino Michigan, put up a record monthly total for its platform at $4.94 million. The online casino now has surpassed $4 million in monthly revenue for the last eight months as it closes in on $5 million for the first time.
