Kentucky Derby

The 152nd running of The Kentucky Derby takes place this Saturday, but you don’t have to wait until then to get into the horse-racing fun at your favorite online casino.

Race Track Live is a live dealer online casino game that presents animated horse races on screen and users place wagers on which horse will win.

With Race Track Live, it brings the enjoyment of horse racing to your mobile phone or desktop, making you feel like you’re at your local track.

The stakes may not be as great as the first leg of the Triple Crown, but Race Track Live can still provide a profitable experience. You can find it at the top live dealer online casinos around the US.

Where You Can Play Race Track Live

Race Track Live is available at most of the top live dealer online casinos around the US.

Just search for “Race Track” in any online casino’s search function, or tour their live dealer page to see if they feature the game.

Basics of Race Track Live

Race Track Live is a creation from Evolution Studios. While listed under “Live Dealer Game Shows” Race Track Live is more of a simulcast. There isn’t a live dealer running the event, instead races of six different horses take place with results computer generated. Some jurisdictions feature a “live dealer” that is just calling each race, but has no impact on the outcome.

The horses chosen are randomly picked from a group of 50, all with different odds to win their respective race. Horses include strong, average, and outsiders based on their odds.

Each horse is assigned to its lane in descending order of strength, with the strongest horse in Lane 1 and the weakest in Lane 6. Odds range from as strong as 1:1 to as long as 89:1.

Odds for each horse are listed for 12 seconds prior to the race. At that point is when you can make your wagers. Once the timer runs out, the race begins and takes another 12 seconds to complete. Should the horse you pick win, you will receive winnings based on the odds the horse had entering the race.

The next race is then listed and the process begins all over again, with multiple races happening each minute.

Given its computer-operated outcomes using a Random Number Generator, there is a theoretical RTP of 96.0% for Race Track Live. That ranks right along the average for high RTP slots and table games.

Features to Race Track Live

While the basics are simple and laid out, there are some helpful tools you can use to try and find consistent success on Race Track Live.

The first is Tipster’s Choice. By choosing this option that is available at the top of your screen, a “tipster” will give you their best choice for that particular race. It shows you the RTP of that particular horse over its last 50 races, providing a pick that has the highest outcome of the six contending horses.

There is also All Horses Mode. This is also an available selection at the top of your screen and it provides the RTP for all six horses in a given race over their last 100 races.

Now, one thing to consider is that a horse that has had a high RTP may not be the way to go. RTP reflects the lifetime expected payout of a game. Since Race Track Live has a 96.0% RTP, any horses significantly higher than that are likely to come back down to reality over time.

No matter what you decide, to use the tools or go with your gut, you have to make quick decisions between each race, with just 12 seconds to decide.
